[LLVMdev] Unisys Compiler--LLVM
Unisys-Lead Engineer Location: Roseville, MN Unisys is looking for a Compiler Specialist for our facility in Roseville, MN. We have a ClearPath mainframe product line that has been running on custom CMOS CPUs. The Unisys 36-bit OS2200 CISC mainframe architecture has been evolving for many years and is too expensive to continue implementing in custom silicon, so we have also produced a version of the ClearPath OS 2200 mainframe system that...

Jitter buffer
Hi, I thought I'd repost this to the -users list for some background on the jitter buffer and its workings and remaining issue.s I'll also pu a little executive summary here at the top: Where a channel is native bridged to another iax2 channel: 1) Lag is not measured and will usually show 0ms. Any other number is an old measurement from the start of the call 2) The jitter

the Univac 2200, LLVM, and national security
John, One of my previous jobs was at Unisys doing a dynamic translator for the Univac 1100 / 2200 series computers. We chose LLVM for the base of the translator for its modularity, optimizations, and x86 code generation. We wrote a front-end that parsed Univac instructions and generated IR for them. It all ran on X86-Linux boxes which with some special peripheral adaptors were then

Getting a modem connection working via Asterisk
...se, was able to get consistent 28,800 connections. Vonage just uses standard SIP with a ULAW codec, as far as I know. I tried the same thing plugged into a SPA-2000 with silence surpression and all that disabled, connecting via SIP To my local Asterisk box, and then dialing out to either NuFone or ClearPath (IAX). I double-checked that the path was ULAW all the way through, but I wasn't able to establish a modem connection at all - it'd die after a minute or so of negotiation. Anyone have any tips on how to get this working? I know it is possible to do via VoIP now, so it'd be really swee...

dialplan logic for conditional DISA on incomming 800 number
Hi All, I have an 800 number from Clearpath. Good folks, highly recommended. I'd like to be able to use the 800 humber for DISA access as well as a published number that I give to my customers. Does anyone here have any example of dialplan logic that would handle normal 800 incomming calls, then allow me to press a key, enter pin etc to...

Termination Provider
I've been looking for a good iax or sip <==> ptsn provider. Someone with very low cost usa calling and can offer incoming ptsn connections in most markets. The only decent providers I could find were iconnecthere and nufone. Has anyone found someone that really stood out? VoicePulse SIP
Dear Sirs, Anybody ever tried running SIP up against Voicepulse? On their http://connect.voicepulse.com they claim they support both SIP and IAX, but I can't seem to get SIP running. I have as mentioned before on this list - huge problems getting any timing devices running on some of my machines, so IAX is not really an option right now. If I try I get a "Service Unavailable"

iax.cc / sixtel are they legitimate?
Does anyone have any experience with iax.cc/sixtel? Are they a legitimate company? From their website it looks like you can get a private incoming 800 number for 30 cents/month plus 2 cents/minute. Somehow that pricing seems a little cheap for a DID number. I assume there has to be some minimum usage or something. Any info as far as actual costs and/or voice quality would be appreciated.
