drop down select lists within SlideDown section broken in Firefox
If I slide down a section that contains a select list, the selection box is
stuck (clicking on the down arrow on the right side of the box has no
effect). Works fine in IE. The javascript library is the one that comes with
the latest version of rails.

Documentation generator?
I''m looking for a documentation generator for JavaScript code that can
handle the coding style used in prototype.js and script.aculo.us. Any
recommendations for such a tool?
In a similar vein, does it make a noticeable difference in production
when comments are removed and several script files are combined into a
single one?

scriptaculous accordion feature - Jump?
Trying the accordion feature as offered at:
http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/accordion+feature
The objective is to remove the "jump" reported in the Rico accordion
feature. My demo of the scriptaculous feature, however has a noticeable jump
when tested if FireFox. and IE Win. See:

Have I implemented this incorrectly?

JS Input/Validation Library
Does anyone has any thoughts about starting a project to simplify
client-side form validation and input? I started thinking about this
because I think date input in most web applications is broken. I
really like Simon Willison''s demo:

I think this could be improved (by mapping say shift+left-arrow to

Scriptaculous + Prototype shrunk to < 50Kb
Maybe I''m anal but I like fat-free JS, so I pulled the Proptotype and core
Scriptaculous files into one single JS file at 49Kb.
It''s "packed" so if you care about that kind of thing, it''s also
"obfuscated".

AJAX for sale!
Thought I would share this with you guys, it brought a smile to my face this
morning...
So, I work for a quick American company who I won''t name, and for the past
few months I have been pushing to use AJAX in some of our Web applications.
This looks like its finally happening, and we are using it in an upcoming
project. There was a meeting about it yesterday, which unfortunately I
