can search with following SQL Statement:

Access Denied setting Directory Access Permissions
...o user root is not a member of the domain admins. this might be the
reason why i get access denied trying to apply direcotry permissions.
i though mapping group root to NT Domain Admin should be enough, but it
doesn't seem to be.
can anybody help me on this issue ?!?

Problem with nvarchar in MS SQL Server 2000
Hello,
after putting ADO.rb into Directory
\ruby\lib\ruby\site_ruby\1.8\DBD\ADO\ I created a Rails-Application with
MS SQL Server 2000 as Database.
Everything works fine, but into the nvarchar-Field "notice" i can''t
store more than about 50 or 60 characters
MS SQL Server Query analyzer says, this field has a length of 510
characters.
What can i do to save up to the 510

OpenLDAP Administration for Samba3
I am looking for an LDAP client to manage the LDAP server that we are going
to use when we switch to samba3. A Windows variety would be OK, a web
interface would be even better. Just looking for suggestions to try.

Kerberos-authentication to a Samba server without a Windows KDC ?
...o integrate a openafs cell and samba
(without plaintext passwords).
this should all be possible with a windows kdc, giving out afs tickets
and forward these tickets to the samba server.
unfortuntely this is not an option here.
is there a way to connect samba 3.x to a mit krb5 server ?

password sync program NOT running as user root
...h to uid=0 does not happen, which makes it really
difficult to write a secur password change script. (now i'll have to
make the script world executable to be able to change passwords).
any suggestions ?!?
i can provide further logs if you tell me what you need.

FORWARD:REJECT
I have a 3 nic setup with shorewall 1.4.8-1 running on redhat 9. My eth2
(dmz zone)has 7 secondary address attached to it. I can ping a machine in
each subnet, dmz to net rules seem to be working fine on all machines.. I
have my policy set as dmz to dmz accept. If I try to ping between subnets I
