I am trying to make 1 soft SIP UA behind NAT connect to a public hard CISCO UA via a public asterisk server. The CISCO UA can hear the voice from the SIP UA but not vice versa. I am trying out the new atxfer feature from CVS-HEAD. I set atxfer equal to *7 and it seems to work OK. I am having a problem getting it to work the way a receptionist would want. If an extension calls me, I hit *7 and I hear the voice say "transfer". I dial another extension. If the newly dialed extension goes to voicemail, I can't figure out how to get the original call

Hi everybody, I would like to decrease the load of my asterisk server. Could someone recommend me a solution? I have thought about a hardware component that would do some tasks as compression/decompression or codec translations but wonder if such a solution exist. Thanks for any suggestion Lamine
