Strange POP3 problem...
I've been having this problem for a long time now. It started when I first began to use Dovecot (0.9x) and seems to have been occurring more and more frequently as we've progressed through the betas and now into RC7. I have been kind of chaulking it up to a "user issue" since the problem only seems to occur for one user (who has one machine at his office, and one at his weekend

Auto-expire messages in a folder
I have a Fedora 5 server running Dovecot (currently 1.0 rc10). The spam filter (amavis) automatically tags email (using plussed addressing) such that messages flagged as spam are sorted into a "spambox" folder by procmail. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but because of some legacy issues with filesystem quota also being in place, combined with most users connecting with POP3

Win XP profile problem...
I'm hoping someone may have run across this issue before. I have a client running a relatively recent version of Samba (the exact version number escapes me at the moment). Windows XP client machines running against samba as a PDC with roaming profiles active. They can log off just fine, and their profile gets successfully written to the server... likewise when they log back on to the

Windows XP Pro, file permissions...
Don't know if this issue is Windows XP specific, or whether it's Samba that's contributing to the problem. Running Samba 3.0.3 as a PDC on a network of 5 Windows XP Pro workstations. They have their "important" data stored in a file share on the server, permissions set for all of them to access no problem. They each also have a shared documents directory on their

1.1.alpha2 error in logs
Did a quick-n-dirty install of 1.1.alpha2 on a Fedora Core 6 server... am getting the following message in the maillog, though there seems to be no problem accessing mail. Error seems to be consistent for all users. Running 1.0.3 on the system previously. Log format question...
Trying to do a little (cosmetic) tweak to my configuration and just don't seem to be able to come up with a set of options that works. My POP/IMAP configuration is working just fine in terms of mail retrieval, etc. What I'm seeing in the logs now is... Browse list issues with Windows XP
To further the discussion (or lack thereof) of the browse list issues (systems not showing up in the browse list, even though their shares are accessable with //system/sharename) that 5 or 10 people on the list have been having over the past month or so... I was out to this client the other day, had the opportunity to try the few things that had been suggested, all to no avail. I then proceeded

Windows XP and Samba, slow access with many subdirectories...
I know this may not be a Samba specific issue, but I have a client running Samba on the server side as a PDC with Windows XP clients. They have a data share on the server where there are currently about 7000 subdirectories in a directory... when windows clients browse to the directory the performance is very slow as I presume windows has to read in all of the directory entries and attributes each

Trust relationship failed...
I'm hoping someone can give me a hand in figuring out this problem, I have seen several other similar problems in searching, but nothing that exactly matches what I am seeing here. I have recently migrated a client from a Samba server running 2.2.7 (Redhat 9) to 3.0.2 (Fedora 1). The samba installation is running as a PDC for 5 Win XP workstations and was working perfectly prior to the
