How to get a count of line_items
I am fairly new to Rails, and I am having difficulty in forgetting the old way of developing and using the Rails way. This is my question, using orders and line_items as an example. An order has_many line_items A line_item belongs to order In my OrdersController I have def summary @orders = Orders.find(:all) render :xml => @orders.to_xml() end What I want to achieve is to

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Moving to Sphinx for LLVM and friends documentation (with partial implementation (in both 10pt and 12pt font)).
...it up, once that is finished though the actual documentation is simple. Look in the html subdirectory to see the generated html as separate files, but it can also generate a single large html file, pdf, man pages, docbook, whatever. The source qbk files and Jamroot is included, but it would be a cinch to have CMake build it instead. If you do: bjam -n html then it will not build it, but it outputs all of the commands and everything it does, which is surprisingly little, so yes, it could be integrated with ease. I ported the first two chapters of the C++ Kaleidoscope tutorial to it. I used t...

using Rails 1.1 param parsers
Hello, I want to use the new param parsers in Rails 1.1 to process POST''ed xml form data (at the moment I manually parse request.raw_post using REXML). As per Scott Raymond: *"Pluggable parameter parsers* make writable REST web services a cinch. By default, posts submitted with the application/xml content type is handled by creating a XmlSimple hash with the same name as the root element of the submitted XML" so it sounds like I''m just duplicating parsing that Rails is already doing. My question is: how do I access the par...

Compiling flac for OSX 10.4
Hi, everyone. I've been trying to compile flac 1.2.1 on OSX by using the 10.4 SDK. I need to use the 10.4 SDK because the application linking to flac requires it. Compiling flac with 10.5 results in link issues due to 10.5's fopen being different. Unfortunately, when trying to compile using a command such as: CFLAGS="-arch i386 -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk

[Bug 72651] New: [NV11] Hang during suspend/resume on Geforce 2 MX200 & MX400
...hibernation, everything works fine. This happens on two different systems with a GeForce2 MX200/400: 1) Athlon XP 1700+ on an Asrock K7VT2, GeForce2 MX400 64MB AGP, with VGA output 2) Pentium II 400 on a 440BX-based Gigabyte GA-BX2000+, GeForce2 MX200 32MB AGP, with VGA and TV-out (S-Video + Cinch) I'm using CentOS 6 userspace, and various kernels: linux-2.6.32-358.18.1.el6 linux-3.0.x linux-3.10.x linux-3.12.1 linux-3.12.4 Using a serial console I was able to narrow down the hang to run_tmds_table(), called from nv04_dfp_restore(). Dmesg output and VBIOS of both cards is attached. No...

Snom phones?
Hi, everyone: I'm in the processing of deciding what IP phones we should use with our Asterisk server, and I wanted to get feedback from the user community on the quality, reliability and ease of operation of Snom phones. What do you have to say about these phones? Are there other phones you'd suggest along with or instead of Snom? Thanks, -Stephen-

Production mode bug with ruby/amazon
Hi all, I''ve got an issue that only ever appears in production mode. I''ve got my app hooked up to amazon''s web service (ECS, using ruby/amazon from http://www.caliban.org/ruby/ruby-amazon.shtml). In the dev environment, everything''s peachy. But in production mode, after I''ve left the app up for a couple of hours (sometimes, minutes), I get an

Inexpensive Flac player for separates system?
...0 family low-power chip combined with a drop-in Ethernet solution, combined with one of the popular Asahi- Kasei stereo DAC chips with 96 kHz or even 192 kHz capabilities might be a feasible DIY project. My current DSP design is managing a 4 MHz DAC sample rate, so stereo 192 kHz would be a cinch for these low- power chips. >>> Squeezebox doesn't count for me - requires PC to be on, thus >>> breaking rule 3 above as a few-hundred Watt music player system >>> (pretty irresponsible solution if you ask me in these times). >> Excellent point. Software RAID1 with CentOS-6.2
Hello, Having a problem with software RAID that is driving me crazy. Here's the details: 1. CentOS 6.2 x86_64 install from the minimal iso (via pxeboot). 2. Reasonably good PC hardware (i.e. not budget, but not server grade either) with a pair of 1TB Western Digital SATA3 Drives. 3. Drives are plugged into the SATA3 ports on the mainboard (both drives and cables say they can do 6Gb/s). 4.

Inexpensive Flac player for separates system?
I'm after the cheapest way to decode a flac stream with following criteria; - Transport from UPnP (DNLA) NAS using either WiFi or Cat5 networking - Toslink digital out for using existing HiFi DAC. - Low power consuption (eg just few Watts - it's just a decoder anyway). There seems a real lack of Flac players that are cheap and HiFi separates integratable like current-day CD players. All

I''m starting to develop a Rails-based product and I want to have the option to distribute it to non-hosted customers. So I''ve said all that to say this... I want to learn how to setup linux and
