unverified files in 5.4
Hey, Gang!
To ensure that a file hasn't been corrupted or tampered with, you can
use rpm to verify the package it came from. Well, I found this:
rpm -Vv util-linux
....
........ /usr/bin/cal
S.?..... /usr/bin/chfn
........ /usr/bin/chrt
S.?..... /usr/bin/chsh
....
Does anyone else get this? And what would be the proper course of
action at this point?
Thanks mucho.

Getting lowest latency sound?
...I have an internal hda-intel soundcard (bad but better since alsa upgraded to 1.0.18). I also have a SoundBlaster X-Fi that doesn't work yet, but I'm waiting with my fingers crossed, since SoundBlaster open-sourced some of the code this month.
Any fairly simple suggestions?
How about a chrt command?
Thanks. Susan

How can i measure the overhead ?
Compared to a direct connection ?
How can i reduce overhead when tunneling voip over tinc ?

using a standard cat5 ethernet cable (30cm), with a Digium T10i crossover.

compiling samba 3.4.8 on CentOS_6.2
Hello All.
Been trying without avail to make idmap work with my AD so I can get "real"
UID/GID for SSH logins on a CentOS_6 box. Have heard from several sources
that idmap has seen some serious changes since 3.5 and decided to roll back
from the "stock" 3.5 that comes with CentOS_6 to 3.4.8. I'd like to see if
it has the same problems.
Installed a clean build of
