Call drop-out on second incoming call.
Hi all, I've got 12 Polycom 430's behind a NAT that are working pretty well except for one thing: If one of my users is on the phone when another call comes in, there is about a 10 second time during which the user can't hear the call they're on. Then it returns to normal. My research indicated that I needed to add these setting to the phone:

Significance of Principal Coordinates
Dear all, I was looking for methods in R that allow assessing the number of significant principal coordinates. Unfortunatly I was not very successful. I expanded my search to the web and Current Contents, however, the information I found is very limited. Therefore, I tried to write code for doing a randomization. I would highly appriciate if somebody could comment on the following approach.

polycom custom ring tones (slightly OT)
Hi all, Has anyone made up custom ring tones for the Polycom SIP phones? We use different rings for different lines, but the ones it comes with are all very similar. In the interesting of sharing, here's one I made up for paging: <PAGE_BEEP se.pat.ringer.13.name="Page Beep" se.pat.ringer.13.inst.1.type="chord" se.pat.ringer.13.inst.1.value="12"

Adding new points to a metaMDS ordination ("vegan" pkg)
Hi, I've been using R for a while now but I've got a problem with metaMDS (in the vegan package) that I can't quite figure out. I have a set of proportion data (from 0-1, rows sum to 1) that I apply metaMDS to using the command: nMDS.set=metaMDS(sqrt(test.set),distance="euclidean",k=3,zerodist="add",autotransform=FALSE) I am using a squared-chord distance

An Open source phone based on Speex
ivo and others, i am having a very interesting exchange about the LTP with diana. I took it offline from speex-dev as it would not interest everyone here. I will reply to ivo separately. I have also setup a mailing list on http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ltpdiscuss/ if anybody is interested. but the key issues that the solves is that: 1. support p2p community based telephony that can punch

number of analogs in significance test of MAT reconstructions using randomTF from palaeoSig
I'm trying to use the randomTF function from package palaeoSig to test the significance of a MAT reconstruction with nine analogs and a WA-PLS reconstruction with four components. I'm probably missing something obvious here but how do I make sure that randomTF is testing the reconstruction based on the desired number of analogs / components? In: fitmap.wapls = WAPLS( lumapspc,

Encore 4.1
Marcus, I am running Encore 4.1.0.0 on Windows XP. The graphic tool works for chords but the text tool crashes whenever I exit its input mode. I copy the TTF's to the Windows font folder and it still does not work. So, I just moved the TTF's to the Windows font folder without success. Do you have a solution? Very much appreciative. Sincerely, Carl Protho -------------- next part

upsmon/upssched shutdown problem
Hi, we're trying to do something that's perhaps unorthodox, but seemingly should work; but not for me. We've got a Powerware 9315, that we are serially attaching one machine to. We have several classes of systems that we want to have shut down at different times. I've been doing my config testing by attaching the master machine to a Powerware 9120, and yanking the power

Auto Complete
What I''m trying to do: I want to create an auto completed field for locations, but didn''t want to have the locations stored in my app. My idea is to somehow use Google to fill that auto complete text field and then retrieve chords using gmaps geocoding. Have anyone done something like this? does Google was some api to do something like that? You think there is any chance of doing

appended text/data fields
...info for the lyrics stored in the text field, so that the output could be displayed in time with the music to provide a karoke function. Also a video link? to flash pics in sequence? or video streams? Additionally, the added field may be capable of storing music notation also or at least guitar chording for the song. There are so many socially active musicians who want their music to be heard, learned and sung that options such as these would help their effort to make their music commonly available. this might also be linked to video info so that music videos may be made. Perhaps that is part o...

Multi-button mice and Linux?
Does anyone here use a multi-button (as in more than 2) mouse with Linux? How well supported are they? I've had to get one recently for work. I was diagnosed with CTS and I now wear braces and use a wireless Intellimouse. Works great at work with Windows, but I'm unsure how much, if any support there is for Linux. Anyone have experience with this? Preston

FatWreck.com - New Rails Site
After months of design and development, we''ve launched our second Rails site, http://www.fatwreck.com (assuming your DNS is updated - the pink site is the old one). The site is for legendary punk rock record label, Fat Wreck Chords and it includes a store. The old site was highly trafficked, with millions of page views per month and we expect this one to be also. So far, the server

PWGL in wine, problems
Hello, I'm new on this list. First of all, thank you to all the developers of this great project! At the moment there is only an application that keeps me on both macos and windows, its name is PWGL a free environment for computer assisted composition in openGL. (http://www2.siba.fi/PWGL/) I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and wine 0.9.59. I have to say that I also installed vcrun2005 and
