No subject
So now I get past the atl.dll problem and get to the SketchUp splash screen,
which is nice. But, I then get the error:
Unable to initialize OpenGL. Check drivers etc.
And
Error: ChoosePixelFormat failed
I have an nVidia based system and have recently downloaded the gl driver and
enabled 3d. All working fine under linux. I have also googled for an answer
to this but can't find a similar problem.

Half Life 1
Hi,
i would like to play Half Life 1, its quite old and should run well on my hardware. This is a none steam version
if i start it with wine version: 1.1.11 i get the error:

what i tried:
running the desktop at 16bpp with software/opengl/d3d in hl1
no luck :(

OpenGL issues with Counter Strike
...tly switched my OS to Ubuntu Dapper Drake amd64 (I used Breezy
before) and now I'm facing strange issues regarding Counter Strike (old
version, not "Source") via Steam. Steam starts up fine, but if I want to
launch the game, the terminal puts out this error-message:
err:wgl:X11DRV_ChoosePixelFormat glXChooseFBConfig returns NULL (glError: 0)
while Steam itself opens first a small window saying "Error:
ChoosePixelFormat failed" and then another one that tells me that
OpenGL-support is disabled. Of course I have installed the fglrx-driver
for my ati card (Radeon 9600 Pro) from the...

Google Sketchup 6.x works, but only with xserver-xgl.
wine version: 1.0-rc4
- Installing Sketchup works fine with some minor issues.
- Running Sketchup will result in the following error message:
"Sketchup was unable to initialize OpenGL! Please make sure you have installed the correct drivers for your graphics card. Error: ChoosePixelFormat failed",
and after that the application closes down. As mentioned in several of the test results in the AppDB this error can be circumvented by changing the the following registry value:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\SketchUp6\GLConfig\Display\HW_OK(0)
to

Star Wars Racer 3D
...'swep1rcr.exe' quits with 'unable to open display for 3D'.
Wine DB has gold rating for this game.Other games like critter and tuxracer that need opengl/mesa run well.
I dont really know how to run winedbg {nothing happened till i typed in exit } but that reported;
