Using a composite device under Centos 4.8 - no mouse clicks
I recently got an EEEbox. This is an Atom based nettop. It came with a wireless keyboard/mouse which talk to a 2.4Ghz USB adapter (a Chicony device as it turns out). Now if I plug this adapter into a Centos 4.8 machine both the keyboard and mouse are detected... but mouse clicks aren't. I can move the mouse, the scroll wheel works, but buttons 1/2/3 aren't detected. Neither in X nor

help ith burncd (Input/output error, 6.1-RC, plextor PX-740a)
I have a new system which includes a Plextor PX-740a DVD+-R/RW CD-R/RW drive attached to an Asus A8V-MX motherboard. When I try to use burncd to burn a cd, it writes all of the data, says "fixating CD, please wait.." and then reports burncd: ioctl(CDRIOCFIXATE): Input/output error Oddly enough, the CD seems to be usable. I can successfully burn the same file if I use cdrecord. The

USB ports on Lenovo T400 do not work after a suspend/resume
Hi, FreeBSD-9 works fine on this Lenovo T400 - except that suspending with no USB devices plugged in result in no ports working after resume. If I have a device plugged in during suspend - on any port - then all the ports work fine after resume. I've attached usbconfig and acpidump output. here's what is logged in the kernel buffer during suspend and resume: Her'es the suspend:

FSP EP 850 doesn't work
Hi all, I've bought UPS FSP EP 850 because I have similar UPS, FSP EP 1000. It is working on my other server with with Fedora 14, kernel 2.6.35.14-106.fc14.x86_64 and installed nut-2.6.2-1. My new UPS is detected by kernel (see below lsusb output) and is partially detected by blazer_usb driver also. But it doesn't communicate with driver (see below blazer_usb output). I run all

powerd not behaving with an Asus A8V-MX and Athlon 64 X2 3800+
I have an Asus A8V-MX motherboard with an AMD Athlong 64 X2 3800+ CPU and I'm trying to run powerd to keep it cooler/quieter/greener. I'm running -STABLE (6.1-RC) cvsup'ed a couple of days ago, with a kernel config that consists of the SMP sample plus an atapicam device. I'm loading the cpufreq.ko module in /boot/loader.conf. I've attached my dmesg output and sysctl -a

Crash when I start driver
It's been a while since I tried to use NUT, so I thought I would give it another try. Big trouble. The UPS is a Tripp-Lite AVR 550U. It has only a USB connector. The computer is running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. I just installed NUT version 2.2.0. I'm going through the steps in the INSTALL document. # cat ups.conf [igor] driver = usbhid-ups port = auto

Bug#721946: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64: dom0_mem cannot exceed some value
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64 Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1 Severity: normal I tried GRUB_CMDLINE_XEN="dom0_mem=8192M": that delivers 6964868K total, then crashes when used=2837436K free=4127432K. By crash I mean the gnome screen was blown away, replaced by a black screen with white log lines. That seems to happen every time dom0 uses a large amount of memory. After setting

Problem booting hypervisor on Lenovo T400 Core2 Duo P8600
Hi, I have a problem booting the Xen hypervisor on my brand new Lenovo Thinkpad T400 2765D2G (Core2 Duo P8600 CPU, 2.40GHz. 4GB RAM). I''m running Debian 5.0 (Lenny) and I use the Debian-provided xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64 package. The Dom0 kernel seems to be the Xen patches ported to a 2.6.26 kernel: linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-amd64 I can boot the hypervisor only very unrealiably: Out of

Package: xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64 Version: 3.2.1-2 Severity: important The Xen hypervisor very unreliably boots on my 4GB Lenovo Thinkpad T400 2765D2G. Right after installation it booted the DomO kernel from linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-amd64 without any problems, but every subsequent restart failed completely. BTRFS crash on mount with 3.4.4
My kernel crashed for some other reason, and now I can''t mount my btrfs filesystem. I don''t care about the data, it''s backed up. I''ll compile a 3.5 kernel, but is there any info you''d like off that filesystem to see why btrfs is crashing on mount? linux kernel 3.17, freeze on resume
This may not be the proper place to raise this question but I've had little luck elsewhere. After trying again, unsuccessfully this time, to install the proprietary NVIDIA driver, I've decided to focus my efforts on the open source Nouveau driver. I've seen video drivers blamed for varying degrees of "freeze on resume" but I'm not certain that's what I'm up
