virtio: Subtle changes to virtio_net flags breaks VXLAN on Google Cloud

VIRTIO_NET_HDR_F_NEEDS_CSUM if ip_summed == CHECKSUM_PARTIAL but it
now sets the virtio_net flags to VIRTIO_NET_HDR_F_DATA_VALID if
ip_summed == CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY. Otherwise the virtio_net flags are set to 0.
skbuff.h says that for transmitting CHECKSUM_NONE and
CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY have the same meaning, yet the above changes
treat them different.
Version 1.0 of the virtio spec [1] says in Section 5.1.6.2.1 Driver
Requirements: Packet Transmission: "The driver MUST NOT set the

[Bridge] Re: [2.4.22] bad interaction between e100 and bridge: BUG at dev.c:991!
Could the problem be that the e100 can do IP receive checksumming on the board,
but the eepro driver doesn't enable it. When the board is doing checksum
offload, then the csum field isn't set.
Please try disabling receive checksumming on the e100 driver
modprobe e100 XsumRX=0
If this is the problem, it exists both 2.4 and 2.6.

I''m trying to setup Xen on a machine with 2 physical network devices using
linux bonding without success. I haven''t received any answer on my question
on xen-users, the only discussion on this seems to be at

PCI passthrough issue
Hello,
I''m facing a strange issue with network card PCI passthrough on my
openwrt test domU.
- With network PCI passthrough, DNS lookup failed for some domains
(exemple, google.com) but not for other (free.fr my ISP, or my domain
jbfavre.org). I can ping an IP address without any problem.
- Starting domU as a "normal" (ie without PCI passthrough), no problem.
