Dear list, I am trying to configure the nagios plugin called check_sip. I just read the README file included with the plugin. I follow the readme steps to configure the plugin, without success. Hi, Does anyone use the nagios plugin for check_sip against asterisk? Does anyone have a working example of the command definition and service definition in the nagios config files? TIA Robert

...the initial idea doesn't sound elegant: - on my SIP server I set couple seconds of ringing before Answer(). - the monitoring server calls to that phone number for few seconds, checks if it "hears" the ringing and hangs up the call. ** I use Nagios to check if my services are UP using check_sip, but it this situation I'm more concerned about my DID provider than my server. I'm monitoring Asterisk with Nagios. Nagios constantly alerts because of too many zombie processes. I eventually had to disable the notification for the alert but why does Asterisk create so many zombie processes, I've see more than 30 at times and it generally stays in the 20s... just seems unusual and wondering if it's harmful, thanks in advance. -------------- next part
