randomForests predict problem
Hello everybody, I'm testing the randomForest package in order to do some simulations and I get some trouble with the prediction of new values. The random forest computation is fine but each time I try to predict values with the newly created object, I get an error message. I thought I was because NA values in the dataframe, but I cleaned them and still got the same error. What am I

data structure for plsr
...tructure for plsr" posts. I have spectroscopic data I'd like to run through a PLSR and have read the tutorial series, but still do not understand the data format required for the code to process my data. My current data structure consists of a .csv file read into R containing 15 columns (a charcoal dilution series going from 100% to 0%) and 1050 rows of absorbance data from 400 nm to 2500 nm at 2 nm interval. I think I need to transpose the data such that the specific wavelengths become my columns and dilutions are defined in rows, but after that point I am lost. Should I (and how do I) make...

Macintosh plots
This may be a dumb question, but I've wasted several hours trying to find an answer.... When I do a plot with no parameters set eg: ' >plot(d1)' it comes up with a dark gray background and blue data points. I can modify the data points using '>plot(d1, col = "red")', but I have not been able to modify the background color. '>plot(d1, bg =

Eezee phone?
I'm just wondering if anyone knows the story with these... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5721202362&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT He claims they support IAX2 and SIP... but almost no history on the account selling them. I didn't see anything in the wiki about this company either.. Does anyone have any history with these phones? Thanks, Jared
