I have a humongous csv file containing census data, far too big to read into RAM. I have been trying to extract individual columns from this file using the colbycol package. This works for certain subsets of the columns, but not for others. I did find a say to get to the directory holding wpwin9 and it strarted but then froze with the splash screen. Not sure how to get the error message in here; seems to have to do with the keyboard and X11driver; hope I am abusing this bulletin board, but I am hoping someone can help me with the next step.
