Hi! Why don't you check up the neat utility changepassword from http://sourceforge.net. It works just wonderfully for me and also is an Open Source package which can be modified for your needs. Users at my place didn't even know they were taking their files from a Linux system until I changed to name to Linuxserver... ;-) If any help is required...

This is really bizarre. Running Samba 3.0.4 on SuSE 9.1. The password backend is smbpasswd. Each user has a system and samba account and everything has worked as expected until recently. I am using smbpasswd backend without domain model on samba. Is there any working www based interface that users can use to change their smbpasswd ? -- Eero

...n is working the only trouble is that I can't get the option for changing the password, when I press the ctrl-alt-del, the change password button is "unclickable". If I change the mustchangepasswd to 0 the the users are forced to change the password, it works. I just can't get the changepassword button available. On a fresh install of Samba 4.7.4 AD you cannot change a user password on a logged in PC through cntl-alt-del -> ChangePassword because the default MinAge is 1 days. I had to use the "samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --min-pwd-age=0" command to make the logged-on style of password change work. All that remains is getting the PasswordChange "during login" to work. Maybe I don't understand y...
