Vector-subsetting with ZERO - Is behavior changeable?
Dear All,
I have trouble generizising some code.
> index <- 0
> sapply(list(c(1,2,3),c(1,2),c(1)),function(x){x[max(length(x)-index,0)]})
Will yield a wished for vector like so:
[1] 3 2 1
But in this case (trying to select te second to last element in each vector
of the list)
> index <- 1
> sapply(list(c(1,2,3),c(1,2),c(1)),function(x){x[max(length(x)-index,0)]})

tc filter change/replace
I am wondering whether the commands ''tc filter change'' and ''tc filter replace''
are working. Googling around revealed a few emails on the LARTC stating that
unfoirtunately they do not work. A quick check showed that they are still not
implemented (properly).
Some propose a solution to build a second tree of filters and apply the 2nd
one when a need for it

Question about Salted Hash Login Generator
Hi,
I am using salted hash login generator to create my login page. In the
user_environment.rb file, I saw that there is a comment saying should
NOT include the email field in the changeable user fields array. Does
anyone know why?
> # Add all changeable user fields to this array.

I would like to make the email field to be updateable and use em...

sudo in switchtower and security
I''m attempting to deploy a rails application using switchtower. My IT guys
are refusing to give me sudo for a user changeable script. I really can''t
argue with their logic. If I have sudo for a script that I can update, well,
I can do most anything I want.
They are suggesting I create a cgi that performs the same function. Since
the cgi would run as www-data (this is a debian system) it would be able to
kill (or...

[PATCH] virtio-net: parameterize min ring num_free for virtio receive

Smaller value of num_free does decrease the number of packet dropping during our test as it makes virtio_net reclaim buffer earlier.
At least, we should leave the value changeable to user while the default value as 1/2 * queue is kept.

Insert/eject USB
Is it possible to insert and eject a USB image in kvm/qemu/libvirt or
are the only dynamically changeable devices cdroms and floppies? I've
searched the web and I'm either not looking for the right terms or it's
obscure. I should mention that I'm not talking about a connecting a
physical host USB drive to a guest image, I want to be able to use a
qcow image as the source.

Reseting Echo State
Hello guys,
I want to make echo tail parameter in my app changeable during run-time.
So my question is:f
Should I use speex_echo_state_reset function for this? Just call
speex_echo_state_init function with new values after that?
Or perform a full de-initialization and initialize echo cancellation
with new tail value?
I'm also using preprocessor - doe...

about BATCH and parameter file
Hello sir:
I use Rcmd to execute R code,such as :
"C:\\Program Files\\R\\R-2.2.1\\bin\\Rcmd.exe" BATCH globalLowessRun.r
globalLowessRun.r is a R function written by myself.
But I wanna make the "globalLowessRun.r" changeable, such as globalLinearRun.r or gridbasedLowessRun.r,and so on.
How can I achieve this goal via Rcmd.exe BATCH ?
The only finding is:
Rcmd BATCH [options] globalLowessRun.r [outfile]
I wonder the only way I can try is [options],but I don't know how to do it.
Thanks a lot!

Problem enabling write-back cache for IBM ServeRAID controller in CENTOS 4.2
...02
SCSI device sda: 213288960 512-byte hdwr sectors (109204 MB)
SCSI device sda: drive cache: write through
sda: sda1 sda2
If I boot CentOS 3.6 in rescue mode I have write back cache enabled.
I have tried to use the sdparm utility to enable write back cache but it
says that this parameter is not changeable.
sdparm --get=WCE /dev/sda -6
/dev/sda: IBM SERVERAID 1.00
WCE 0 [Changeable: n, def: 0, saved: 0]
I have looked at the ips module parameters but none seem to affect the
write cache. Any ideas how to enable write back cache?
Thanks,

SASL
...server.
I'm not familiar at all with LDAP. I know that sendmail will
authenticate to a SASL database and it's fairly easy to setup. My goal
is that I can support "real" users (actual user accounts) but allow
their mail passwords to be different than their login passwords, and
changeable via some sort of CGI interface.
(I also have 2 weeks to accomplish this)
any assistance is appreciated

Enquire::get_mset() "first" and MatchDecider
...seems strange that you can
change the latter from call to call.
Under what conditions can you change the mdecider used and keep a
consistent (result set index)-to-(document id) correspondance for a given
mdecider ? I'm guessing you have to restart from first==0 ? Shouldn't
mdecider only be changeable as part of some kind of "rewind" operation
then?

call waiting beep
...ining them with the & in the dial statement.
i.e.) exten =>
blah,blah,Dial(SIP/GS1&SIP/GS2&SIP/GS3&SIP/ata186a&SIP/ata186b,25,t)
If one of those lines is being used, then the user gets a really loud call
waiting beep, and on the ata186, also an inband callerid noise (perhaps
changeable on the ata186).
thanks for any info.

changing group ownership of files
...file from the NT permissions dialog. The
permissions box shows 3 ACL's, one for UNIX owner/group/other. However,
we can't seem to change the group ACL to a different group. Removing
the group ACL and Adding a new group ACL for a different group does not
work. Is the group ownership only changeable from UNIX? If it is
changeable from NT, how is this done?
