change notify timeout Performance issue
I have just been upgrading my Samba servers from 1.9.18p10 to 2.0.6
So far as I can tell users have been happy (or at least not noticed!).
Our clients are almost exclusively NT 4.0 (most at SP5).
Our servers are Suns running Solaris 2.5.1 and 7.
On upgrading 2 of our busier servers (for admin - home directories and NT
binaries), I observed a considerable increase in server load.

smbclient works fine and from a windows local account I can browser the
samba directories too (puttin username and password before..)
I use tdbsam of course and pdbedit -L let me see all the accounts, it
seems to work fine

Authentication fails (sometimes)
...id 60000 is assigned to me? Why? I am not
member of the group with id 60000 (see above)
I post almost a full log here. Some parts which might contain my

Slow Samba when added new hard drive
Hi,
I've used Samba several years without any problems. Last week I added
a new disk to my system, and Samba started to behave very strange.
It's slow in terms of establish a connection and time to list
directories. I've tried to resolve the problem without success. No
other daemon has problems, both ftp and http works fine as well as
internal communication.
Below I've attached

No access check deleting printer drivers
Hello list!
On all my samba installations (3.0.20b) I can delete all unused printer
drivers with rpcclient regardless which user name or password i use.
Is this a general feature or might it depend on my settings?
Thanks,
Martin
