Compiling chan_bluetooth
Hello, I?m trying to use my phone with asterisk to get GSM connectivity but I can?t compile the code. I got the asterisk, chan_bluetooth, zaptel and libpri sources, the last two ones compiled perfectly. I have added this to the /usr/src/asterisk/channels/Makefile: include /usr/src/chan_bluetooth/Makefile and I?ve also added chan_bluetooth.so to the CHANNEL_LIBS var. When I do "make install" in the asterisk directory I...

Cannot compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1
The short of it: I am unable to compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1 on CentOS 4.2. I installed using the Asterisk@Home 2.2 iso. Server is a plain Celeron 2.93GHz box. Asterisk source is in /usr/src/asterisk, newest chan_bluetooth source is in /usr/src/asterisk-test/bluetooth/chan_bluetooth (I have two older versions in other directories). Step...

Some feedback and issues on using chan_bluetooth
I have a Motorola Razr successfully connected to asterisk using a bluetooth dongle and chan_bluetooth. Here's some issues I've run across: - You have to ignore the instructions in bluetooth.conf, saying to run "sdptool search --bdaddr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx 0x111F" to determine the correct channel to use for your phone. My phone reported Channel 7, but will not work with anything ot...

chan_bluetooth, no voice
I am running Asterisk 1.0.9 with chan_bluetooth (kernel 2.6.11) I have managed to get the module loaded and it connects to my phone and dials (Nokia 6310i) okay, but once the call connects I hear no sound on either end. It is not who I am calling since it works with any other bluetooth headset or without one. It isn't the SIP phone or code...

chan_bluetooth problems
Has anyone had experience with Theo's chan_bluetooth with asterisk-1.2.0 on FC3. When I try to make a call to my home through the channel my phone shows calling but my home phone never rings. I get this on screen: == Spawn extension (outgoing, 3234600, 2) exited non-zero on 'SIP/2299-9131' -- Executing Dial("SIP/2299-7743"...

chan_bluetooth, mobile handset as VoIP terminal?
I have been looking at chan_bluetooth, so far being unable to make it compile with Asterisk SVN trunk. I was wondering about the different ways it can be used. What I have read so far implies two possibilities: 1. Asterisk pretends to be a handsfree unit, and can use the cell phone for placing calls over the mobile network, or ans...

chan_bluetooth.so
I've just set up 1.0.9 with chan_bluetooth.so, my Nokia 6680 registers and I can dial out and the called phone rings. The problem is that the Nokia keeps ringing it doesn't know that the call has been answered. (System is SFR calling to France Telecom POTS) Any thoughts? -- Dave Cotton <dcotton@linuxautrement.com>

Mac Mini and chan_bluetooth, has anyone told The o if it works?
...this for about an hour and the most relevant hit I got was, of course, the first hit: http://www.sowerbutts.com/linux-mac-mini/#support In it, he indicates that the stock Bluetooth module "should work, but untested" - he doesn't qualify the statement with anything. Has anyone tried chan_bluetooth or even the Bluz stack on a Mini or a G5? If so, under Linux or OSX? (assuming it will compile) If not, I'm eager to try it when my Mini comes in. What's the point of that, you say? Hmmm....let's see, IAX <--> Bluetooth on a Mac seems to be a bit of a killer app. PSTN calls are h...

Chan_bluetooth and AudioGateway phone [long]
...I get a "Everyone is busy/congested at this time" whenever I try to Dial("IAX2/****@****/2", "BLT/MotorolaLara/3474501***") For sure I make some mistake in the configuration. Unfortunately I don't find any step-by-step guide to configure USB-Dongle + Asterisk + chan_bluetooth What channel I have to use? If I try the following command as specified on the configuration file /etc/asterisk# sdptool search --bdaddr 00:0a:28:83:a9:cf 0x111F Class 0x111F Searching for 0x111F on 00:0A:28:83:A9:CF ... Default value for ASTERISK_VERSION_NUM
I'm looking at version.h installed by Asterisk 1.2.3/4 - and the default value is 000000. I thought the value should be 010200. I know many people have problems compiling chan_bluetooth because of this inconsistency. Anyone has the last word on this?

GSM modems
Hi all, I am interested in interfacing a GSM modem to *. I've seen a few comments about doing this, but I'm not clear whether people have actually made it work. I've used GSM modems for various data jobs, mostly high volume SMS (no, not nasty marketing stuff - high volume solicited SMS :-) ) . These only have analogue ports for voice. Does anyone know of units with digital voice

How well does a celldock work with Asterisk?
...ce to use a cell phone as a PSTN line to Asterisk, but I haven't seen any comments as to how well this actually works. I was thinking about hooking a celldock to a FXO input of my Digium TDM400P card and use it to connect via bluetooth to my RAZR V3C. I am aware of the software solution (chan_bluetooth), but my Asterisk box is a bit far away from where I want to keep the phone so the celldock seems to be the more convenient solution for me. Any comments about the sound quality or issues in making it work? Thanks Steve
