Shorewall DMZ - Proxy ARP or Static NAT
...teway between 2 networks using the same Firewall. So am I correct in saying that I should really be using Static NAT? But since Proxy ARP is the preferred approach, I wondered whether there are any issues with SNAT that I should be aware about? Any help would be much appreciated. Regards, Simon Chalk.

Reverse zones fail with secure updates
Hai James, So a windows xp works but Win7/10 not, at least is good hint. So, i did have a look in my setup again. And i'm thinking, i have disabled ipv6 for my windows 7 and win 10 pc's. That may be an option.. A thing you can try, have a look here : http://www.bvanleeuwen.nl/faq/?p=1142 ipv6 Admx to simple disable ipv6. I've set : Disable all IPv6 components. I also

AssociationTypeMismatch with RSpec 1.0.8, autotest running with drb
Before I chalk this up as a bug and report it, I just want to make sure I''m not doing something silly. Running ZenTest''s autotest on OS 10.4.10 with RSpec 1.0.8, drb, produces the following failed test: ActiveRecord::AssociationTypeMismatch in ''User should create an avatar with upl...

simple question about exporting data...
I just have a simple question. I'm using the predict function, and I get about 1000 values. Now, how would I make it into a data frame or a list so that I can easily use Excel to graph the data? Right now, it's in horizontal lines, and it would be a pain to copy and paste and make it into a vertical column. Thanks! -- View this message in context:

Digium TDM400P vs Sangoma A200 for 2 x FXO
...yone comment on the relative merits of those two devices? Are there any other options in the same price range? As we're a small Charity, price is a major consideration. I don't think we can afford the A200's hardware echo-canceller, for instance. Thanks for your help. RHEL 6 and ActiveRecord issues
...that I installed to test, but I get the same error. I managed to get a different error briefly, when I was running multiple versions of activerecord, activeresource and activesupport -- installed through a mix of gem and yum. Deleting the non-yum versions returned me to the existing error, so I am chalking that up as a fluke at this time. Any help would be appreciated. rsync to mirrors failing
I try: rsync -auv rsync://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/5.2/updates/i386/ ..... And get rsync: read error: Connection reset by peer (104) rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(614) [receiver=2.6.8] And then, if I keep trying, eventually rsync 'works' and I get my updates. What is causing this?

Wine can no longer access port 80
I play a lot of games on Linux so I compile Wine from source and run it from the source directory to allow multiple versions and configurations. A couple weeks ago I started noticing errors whenever Steam tried to display a web page which was no biggie since I never use the storefront and I just chalked it up to Steam being buggy. But then I noticed the same error popping up in other programs and when I looked into it more I found that every version and config of Wine I have could recieve any HTTP traffic. The rest of my system works fine, it's just that anything run through wine can no lo...

smartest way to setup new system (DELL PE 4600)
...to the backplane of the 4600. My question is this: What's best practice and most desirable partitioning for doing this, and how would I go about setting up mirrors of both the OS and the user data drives? Thanks in advance for any help on what I know is a rather newbie question....please chalk it up to lack of sleep and veritable hounding by the 'higher ups' :) Kind regards, -Ray

[LLVMdev] RegisterPass isAnalysis parameter
...the pass itself. Even though the PassManager implements the Hollywood Principle, something outside of the pass implementation still has to invoke one of the runOn* functions. And I'm not understanding how this invocation can occur if the implementation is invisible. Maybe I should just chalk this up to template magic... On a related note, the source code comments in PassSupport.h (line 156) say that the RegisterPass instance should be declared in the global scope, and indeed, the Hello.cpp example puts it in the global scope. However, the "Writing an LLVM Pass" documen...

Upgrade 4.3 to 4.4 appeared to die half-way through
...lly fine? The /etc/redhat-release shows ok: cat /etc/redhat-release CentOS release 4.4 (Final) I've been watching top and all that good stuff. All my services appear ok as well, but call me paranoid because I'm convinced something has to be wrong. Should I stop with my paranoia and just chalk it up to my bash session died, yum completed ok, but hung afterwards? Thanks! Max

[LLVMdev] Re: LLVM build error
...res, they will have to deal with the consequences themselves. I'm sorry for the trouble it caused, but there isn't much we can do to prevent you from shooting yourself in the foot. :) I've been there, done that kind of thing before and know about the wasted time, etc. I usually just chalk it up to a learning experience. In any event, what were you trying to accomplish with the use of the -s flag? Perhaps there's another way to do it. > > In any case, I removed the CFLAGS variable and am currently building (it > seems to be going well). Great! Glad its working now....
