run prog to create policy? + our setup
...at replaces my
policy file, because when other users log in at exactly the same time,
they would be able to get full permissions :-)
BTW, We're planning to setup WinNT workstations with a samba server as
server: what kind of problems can we expect?

Winbind: SID2UID looks in own domain only ?
Hi,
Trusting domain: DOMA
Trusted domain : DOMB
We are running samba-winbind 3.0.24 and have problems when
authenticating user from a trusted domain (DOMB) (idmap backend = ad) in
to DOMA.
After some investigations, we found that when we are trying to login as
a user from DOMB, it seems that sid2uid looks in own domain only, and
fails to retrieve uid from sid.
In DOMA:
wbinfo -m shows the

[nbdkit PATCH 0/5] ci: Get to green status on FreeBSD and MacOS
I took the easy route of crippling what I couldn't get working, on the
grounds that partial coverage is better than none now that we have
Cirrus CI checking commits on additional platforms.
This series got me to a green checkmark:
https://gitlab.com/ebblake/nbdkit/-/pipelines/793156983
but depends on an as-yet uncommitted patch in libvirt-ci:

USA map
R users,
In S, there was a function called usa() that
would draw the map of the United States, plus
it had other options for graphics. I have looked
but I can't find the equivalent in R. Is there one?
Thanks,

No, as a separate file, provided from the local (intermediate) CA:
ssl_cert = </etc/openssl/certs/server.cert
ssl_key = </etc/openssl/private/server.key
ssl_ca = </etc/openssl/certs/ca-cert-chain.pem
Worked fine with 2.2.x, 2.3 gives

winbind
Hello!
I set debug level 10 to samba 2.2.0 and now see in log:
[2001/05/10 08:31:48, 10] smbd/uid.c:gid_to_sid(409)
gid_to_sid: winbind lookup for gid 5284 failed - trying local.
How can I say to samba to not try use winbind?

Fail to install xgboost
Hi
I planned to learn R and their machine learning algorithms such as xgboost.
I just installed R 3.3 in our CentOS linux system.
Linus system: centos-release-6-9.el6.12.3.x86_64
I used the command: yum install R.
I successfully install "rJava" and "mlr" packages.
Then I used the following command:
install.packages("xgboost")
Unfortunately, I cannot install xgboost

Lookup username or machine name with ip-address?!
Hi
When I want to send a winpopup message to a win95 client, I don't always
know the name of the machine (in wind95 setup) or the name of the user
that is logged on... Is there any way of sending a message when you don't
know that? I can ofcourse send a message with -I and -M the DNS-name of
the machine, but that's not accepted...

is it possible that my system hangs now and then because of the following

I think since I put this in my server hnags now and then because of big
filetransfers, but there might be another cause
