Easy cut & paste from Excel to R?
Hi!
Is it possible to easily cut & paste data from an
Excel spreadsheet to
an R edit( ) grid or to variable?
It seems that R cannot handle the cell delimiters
Excel hands over.

Multiple comparisons with a glm
I've never seen anything written about multiple comparisons,
as in the multcomp package or with TukeyHSD, but using a glm.
Do such procedures exist? Are they sensible?
Are there any packages in R that implement such comparisons?
Thank you.

runif with weights
Dear all,
I would like to generate 25 numbers from 1 to 100 but I would like to have some numbers that could be more probable to come out. I was thinking of the function runif:
runif(25, 1, 100) , but I don?t know how to give more weight to some numbers.
Example:
each number from 2 to 10 has the probability of 40% to come out but the probability of each number from 11 to 100 to come out is

FW: Re: Doubt about nested aov output
...understood it there are three different
rats labelled 1. There is a rat 1 on treatment 1 and a rat 1 on
treatment 2 and a rat 1 on treatment 3. Thus the levels of Rat do not
designate the "experimental unit", it is the levels of Treatment:Rat
that do this.

puzzle about contrasts
...[,1]
(Intercept) -0.05624745

gives the correct sign.
So, I guess my question reduces to how one would set the
contrasts for the model.matrix to be correct
for this to work out correctly?
Thank you.

Note that the x-variable of llines must be logged to plot the correct values

passed to the panel function.
Thank you.

Actually, the difference is already apparent with the function logLik,
but I still would like to understand the difference in what is
calculated in the two instances.
Thank you, in advance.
