Freeradius, openldap and TLS
...rrors. We can search and authenticate against the LDAP server with Apache, and with ldapsearch using ldaps:// URLs and with start_tls. If I ask the freeradius community, I am told unequivocally to use OpenSSL not NSS. (currently, radiusd is finding the server CA certificate in /etc/raddb/certs/cert8.db but the client certificate in a PEM file after looking in cert8.db first) Is this possible with the standard CentOS builds, and if so, is there a tutorial or examples anywhere ? If not, has anyone solved this problem ? -- Andrew Daviel, TRIUMF, Canada

setvar from chan_dahdi.conf
Would someone be able to give an example of a working use of setvar from chan_dahdi.conf? I am trying to create a custom variable like I use in sip.conf but I have been completely unsuccessful getting any variable set using setvar to appear for a DAHDI channel. I am running 1.8.11-cert8 and am using the newer format (but I have tried using the older [channels] format). Here is an example: [trunkgroups] [channels] [phone_template](!) usecallerid = yes hidecallerid = no callwaiting = no threewaycalling = yes transfer = yes echocancel = yes echotraining = yes immediate = no contex...

Adding CA/Root SSL / TLS Certificate, HTTPS
...g key inside the /etc/pki/rpm-gpg directory HOW TO MANUALLY ADD CA/ROOT CERT IN CENTOS ? (as I need to add OTHER self-signed root cert in CentOS pki database, for all apps to use). so that wget, rpm or other apps can use them without warning. if a self-signed CA/root cert is added in /etc/nssdb/cert8.db then would it allow apps which use nssdb, to use the new root cert automatically ? how to manually add new root cert inside cert8.db or cert9.db ? is it using sqlite ? and, if a self-signed CA/root cert is added inside /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.trust.crt or in /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.cr...

csc policy
...srv/profdata csc policy = disable hide files = /?esktop.ini/ntuser.ini/NTUSER.*/?humbs.db/$RECYCLE.BIN/ This worked great (although slow) with terminal servers on Win2008R2 and Windows 7. Now the clients on win10 experience error in Thunderbird and Firefox. THe files cert9.db and cert8.db sometimes can not be read (a pop up shows with unknown certificates etc) If you close the program everything works again. Only Firefox and Thunderbird are effected. Chrome has no Problem. My questions are: Has anybody had the same Problem? Is "csc policy = disable" still recommended...

Evolution in CentOS 5.2
(Probably OT) Has anyone else noticed these flaky (new?) behaviors in Evo since the 5.2 upgrade: - REALLY slow saving messages from inbox to another folder - search capability separated by folder instead of overall (with no option for control) - failure to autocomplete email addresses for known contacts I think that's it. I was wondering if it was just me, or if others had noticed this.
