Contact your carrier and ask about any possible fraud detection. Verizon SIP service has that feature. I don?t think Level 3 has. Don?t know about CenturyLink. I also recommend locking down the system very tight with IP tables ? only allow whitelisted traffic rather than only blocking blacklisted traffic. Fraud is a constant issue for everyone. "new" computers and monitors
Until recently, I had a 32-bit machine with one monitor running fedora. The later editions of fedora didn't like it, so I switched to CentOS. Now I have two 64-bit machines and two monitors and a CenturyLink router. Also a KVM switch that I have not taken out of the package. My main machine has two video connections and two ethernet connections, eth0 and eth1 . I've never had more than one machine or more than one monitor before. I'd like to be able to use both monitors at once on my main mac...

Router that support Asterisk
Hi All; I heard from some friends that there are a dsl router that has Linux OS and it has asterisk on it, so the ip phone can register on this router, also if the router has FXS or FXO ports then it can be used to place calls through them. Is it really? Where I can these routers? Did anyone try it to tell us if it is stable and working fine? Regards Bilal -------------- next part

ssh freezes
All too often, my ssh session will freeze. I'm fairly certain the problem is at my end. None of the tilde commands work. In particular, ~# and ~. are nonfunctional. I can write to ssh's terminal window from another terminal window. If I kill the ssh process, I can ssh in again. The next time it happens, I will try another ssh session without killing the first one. dmesg did not show me

Verizon SIP "trunking" Field Trial
All, We are in the process of trying to setup our network to use Verizon's SIP "trunking" product. They say that since Asterisk is not on their certified list of approved devices, we need to go through a field trial to get it approved before allowing us to use their service. Where we are at is getting the design approved. We are trying to watch our budget at the same time. We

How to maintain a persistent SSH connection?
Hello, I'm tasked with establishing a persistent SSH connection across a very unreliable link, for a remote port forward (always port 2217). I figured I'd use ServerAliveInterval to make sure that the ssh(1) process dies when the connection appears down, and I use systemd to restart it in this case. This works fine. What does not work fine, however, is the server-side. If the connection

public key for verification of Syslinux distribution
Hi Kamen, In addition to the signing key, there are a few other issues: 1. The signed 6.0.3 sources from kernel.org<http://kernel.org/> or any other sites/repos directly related to the syslinux project will not cleanly compile 2. As such, Linux distros have had to combine some version of the broken sources with their signed patches to create binary packages 3. Some distros patch the
