Cent0S 4.3 - Athlon x86_64 - Load issue
Hi I have got 8 Sun x4100's and i have got the following on there Linux xxxxxx04 2.6.9-34.0.2.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri Jun 30 10:32:04 EDT 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I have found an issue where every hour the load rises to 1 sits there for nearly an hour and then drops to 0 again (these boxes are not currently being used) Has anyone seen this before or know perhaps why this may happen?

cent0s-6 and virtualbox
I want to get a look at Cents-6 The computer is a portable Thinkpad T-42 The base OS is Windows XP Professionnal I tried to use both Microsoft Virtual PC and Oracle Virtual Box with the same result I boot from the CD (wich have been burned from an ISO downloaded from a Centos -6 repo). Samba as AD member can not validate domain user

CentOS and orinoco silver with yenta socket
Hi I have a fresh install or Centos 4.2 with a orinoco silver pcmicia wireless card with a Yenta socket pci-pcmcia bridge. Cent0S no found any device. How I configure it ? If I type: modprobe yenta_socke modprobe orinoco These modules loads but not works. (This card works with Slackware and Ubuntu with a default install) Any help ? roberto -- Ing. CentOs 4.X and APF firewall issues
...ll incoming connections, other than the backend IP, sometimes restarting the firewall resolves this, but occasionally we may have to leave it 10 mins or so before restarting where it will actually allow connections again. Has anyone had this issue themselves, or does anyone successfully running Cent0s 4.X with the 2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp kernel have a sample /etc/apf/config.apf I could take a look at? CentOS and GCC Question

It didn't originally have gcc installed so I have installed that and mhash and mhash-devel are also installed. I know I can ignore the warning and just carry on, or that there are already aide RPMS. But I am doing this as an exercise for myself as I want to up...
