cut-off time for rsync ?
...ncs. I
am sorry if this was unclear. I just want to give rsync a hint that
comparing files and directories that are older than one week on
the source side is a waste of time and effort, as the rsync is done
every day, so they can safely be assumed to be in sync already.

...bother checking it on the destination server (and the same
for directories -- but without ending a recursive traversal)". Now
I am traversing some directories twice on the source server to lighten
the burden on the destination server (first find, then rsync).

...which has fast disks,
so I can afford to move the burden to the source side, using the find
utility to select homes that have been touched recently and using
rsync only on these.
But it would be nice if a clever invocation of rsync could remove the
extra burden entirely.

symbols: xlim and ylim cannot be specified (PR#639)
...;anything" matched by multiple actual arguments
should only be a warning.
I would find this more convenient since foreseeing these collisions
and programming such arguments as explicit arguments of the "top" function
is a nuisance when writing functions just for one project.
Ceterum censeo: Thanks for your efforts for developing such a useful
environment.

RE: [PATCH] - make qemu serial summagraphics settings a bitmore fluid
...ave this thing about wasting memory :-)
3) Personally, I hate counting serial ports from 1, everybody knows
that computers count from 0. I''d refer to it as which `ttyS'' port to
use, starting from 0, but I''m willing to live with the COM terminology.

Problems with permissions
Hllo,
I have a Debian Wheezy machine with a standard samba configured as domain
controller. (security = user)
On the Windows clients a programm shall be installed that needs full access to
all files on a network drive
I have set the Unix permissions to 777 for all files and subdirectories of the
according directory.
The share entry is:

In fact, I don't understand, why this problem persists, and how

[PATCH 3a/3] Add shadow VRAM
This is a slightly modified version of the original VGA patch that removes
changes to the configure script to check for SSE2 capabilities. SSE2 is
now only checked at run time.

Need urgent help regarding security
Good Day!
I think we have a serious problem. One of our old
server running FreeBSD 4.9 have been compromised and
is now connected to an ircd server..

However, we still haven't brought the server down in
an attempt to track the intruder down. Right now we
are clueless as to what we need to do..
Most of our servers are running legacy operating
