data analysis. R
...t different
lengths?
how can i read them in R?
any idea for the following problem?
Gas consumption (1000 cubic feet) was measured before and after insulation
was put into
a house. We are interested in looking at the effect of insulation on gas
consumption. The
average outside temperature (degrees celcius) was also measured. The data
are included in
the file "insulation.txt".
(a) Determine if insulation in the house effects the average gas
consumption.
(b) How much extra gas is used when there is no insulation? Provide an
interval estimate
as well as a point estimate.

zaptel sync
Simple Q but I can't find the answer in the archives (and am too lazy to
look in the source, but then its 32 Celcius here...
Do all digium cards provide the zapata timing? e.g. also the analogs
(including the X100P) or only the E1/T1 -ones or do I need to use ztdummy on
the analog cards?
Thanks,
Michiel

Digium X100P vs Dodgy Ebay X100P
...on main
(DSP??) chip. Chips have all marking intact. Bears an FCC & CE logo and
quote the relevant rules. It's supported! :-)
Next using an infrared heat gun I checked the running temperatures of the
main (DSP??) chips on both cards after 1 hour of continued use.
Room temp: 30 degrees Celcius
X100P: 30 degrees
Dodgy Ebay: 47 degrees
With regards to reliability and performance I've had no problems (after my
initial typo's and lack of understanding were overcome); my friend has had
machine lock ups, dropped calls, awful hum on the lines etc.
I've got a couple of high qualit...

Misreported values with newhidups
...ure: 302.0
ups.test.result: No test initiated
In particular, the bad ones are:
battery.date, battery.temperature, input.voltage, ups.temperature, and maybe
battery.voltage.
battery.date has a very wrong year.
battery.temperature is very high. The NUT cgi scripts treat this value as a
reading in Celcius, which would seem appropriate. However, it looks as though
the UPS is actually giving a reading in Kelvin. 302 degrees Kelvin is about
46 degrees Celius. That's a far more reasonable reading. The same conversion
would be appropriate for ups.temperature.
input.voltage is just plain wrong....

[Bug 22756] New: nouveau_fence.c kernel BUG and recursive faults
...u, KMS enabled and working fine, NV28 card.
DRM modules from nouveau/linux-2.6 git, v2.6.31-rc2-65-g7525cc6, branch
master-compat, commit 7525cc6ddc45772f78aa40fe0a767f512f2ae1ed "Clarify
nouveau/DEPENDS file.". This branch is up-to-date with master branch commit
"drm/nouveau: allow celcius on nv20". The host kernel is 2.6.28-gentoo-r5.
When trying to start X, screen blinks, goes black, kernel hits BUGs, but the
machine does not hang. SysRq can unlock the keyboard, but I do not get the
console back, screen stays black. The kernel recommends a reboot after the
recursive fault.

Windows 10 and logon script execution
Thanks for your answer.
It is a non-AD domain, but Win10 machines join the domain without problems.
No plan to move to AD shortly, any other idea to fix the problem?

how to debug hardware lockups?
Hi,
We have a server which locks up about once a week (for the past 3
weeks now), without any warning, and the only way to recover it, is to
reset the server. This causes unwanted downtime, and often software
loss as well.
How do I debug the server, which runs CentOS 5.2 to see why it locks
up? The CPU is an Intel Q9300 Core 2 Quad, with 8 GB RAM, on an Intel
Motherboard
