which.pmin?
I have two vectors (k.floor and k.ceiling) of integers of the same
length, and a function (fpr).
b <- 10:40
k.floor <- floor(log(2) * b)
k.ceiling <- ceiling(log(2) * b)
fpr.floor <- fpr(b, k.floor)
fpr.ceiling <- fpr(b, k.ceiling)
If R had a element-wise ternary function, I'd like to do something like
this:
(fpr.floor < fpr.ceiling) ? k.floor :

QoS doubt about network machine
Hello all,
I am with a doubt about QoS solution... I have a 4 Mbit backbone
coming from the telco I use... This is the link I serve to my clients,
so I make this classes:
$TC qdisc add dev $DL root handle 1: htb default 60
CLASS="/sbin/tc class add dev $DL parent"
$CLASS 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 4096Kbit
$CLASS 1:1 classid 1:10 htb rate 256Kbit ceil 3072Kbit burst 15k

Problem with HTB and ceil
Hi,
I am trying to setup a shaper for my linux box and I am experiencing some
problems. What I am trying to do is priorizing packets on the egress link,
therefore I have setup some prio classes etc. The priorizing seem to work but
the problem is that the ceil parameter doesnt seem to work on non leafs.
This is what stats show:
> class htb 1:1 root rate 3000bit ceil 3000bit burst 1602b/8 mpu

Ceiling to the nearest ten?
R-users,
Is there a function for ceiling to the nearest ten?
a <- 1:10*4
a
[1] 4 8 12 16 20 24 28 32 36 40
The resulting vector should look like this ("ceiling to the nearest ten")
[1] 10 10 20 20 20 30 30 40 40 40
Thanks in advance

HTB, strange capacity distribution
Hello,
after spending several hours reading archives, I decided to write new
post.
I successfully set up packet classification, made some basic HTB
setup, made some simple graphical representation from HTB statistics
data...
BUT, I cannot figure out how to refine HTB to get this behaviour:
I need that class "p2p" should be the last one to get some link
capacity.
If I set both RATE

[LLVMdev] Match operands
I'm trying to implement the standalone assembler for mips and I have encountered a problem in instruction operands matcher.
In mips instruction set there are math instructions with two format flags in the mnemonic, one for source and one for destination register.
For example ceil.w.s means both source and destination are F32 registers while ceil.l.d means both source and destination are F64

Shaping inbound ok, outbound wrong
Hi, I´m shaping traffic using htb on both interfaces, I noticed that shaping
download traffic is workinggreat but shaping upload traffic is not working
at all (no sent packets, no dropped, no overlimits)I have eth0 facing the
backbone and eth1 facing the LAN. Thanks for your help. These are the
commands I run:tc qdisc del dev eth0 root
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1 htb default 10 r2q 5

htb root don''t reach ceil rate?
Hello,
i have a htb setup where the root and (nearly) all child classes has a
ceil rate with max up from my adsl line. But the root class don''t reach
the ceil value but some childs are get a huge backlog.
My setup: (tc -d class show dev ppp0) [cleaned a bit]

help with R semantics
Greetings:
I'm running R2.6.2 on a WinXP DELL box with 2 gig RAM.
I have created a new glm link function to be used with family = binomial.
The function works (although any suggested improvements would be welcome),
logit.FC <- function(POD.floor = 0, POD.ceiling =1)
{ if (POD.floor < 0 | POD.floor > 1) stop ("POD.floor must be between zero
and one.")

What is the reccomended minimum rate for leaf htb class for accurate operation?
Hi,
I''m trying to setup QoS in my TSL box. Following to mailing list reccomendations I changed PSCHED_CPU but can''t get accurate shaping with HTB. I have disabled HYSTERESIS also (by setting it to 0).
I have Intel Celeron 1.8Mhz (TSC supported I think).

tc does''nt limit the bandwidth!
Hi, good people!
I wanted to limit my 4 customers to 144, 16, 32, and
32kbps.
I used the following tc commands BUT IT FAILED TO
LIMIT each and everyone of them to its bandwidth.
What am I doing wrong:
My tc scripts are:
tc qdisc add dev eth1 root handle 1: htb default 1
#Classes#
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb
rate 9bps ceil 9bps #Default

Guaranteed rate per class and maximum ceiling per element in class???
Hi all,
It is my understanding that with HTB, the rate and the ceiling are divided over the elements of the class. E.g. using a rate of 100 kb and a ceiling of 2000 kb for a class with 10 elements on a 100Mb NIC, the effect of the ceiling will be that if all elements are generating their maximimum possible trafic they will be effectively limited to ~ ceiling / number of elements, in this case

Hello all, when running tc -s -d class show dev eth, the parent class rate
and ceil are different to the configuration?
his is the first time I have used HTB so I may have made some basic

HTB qdisc within HTB root qdisc
Hello...
Im trying to setup HTB to allow me to shape traffic from two upstreams
that meets on single lan0 interface. I prefer to use HTB qdisc
within HTB root qdisc for cleaner rules design.
Seems that it doesnt work at all. tc -s class show doesnt
show any traffic on other classes attached to HTB qdisc.
Linux 2.6.20.7
iproute-2.6.20-070313
Weird thing is that tc -s class show that 1: and 2:
