Legacy option for key length?
...r APC powerstrips right in this second because OpenSSH won't work > any more. There is a simple solution: Hardware certified per MIL standards (US DOD MIL standards) support kerberized telnet, so ssh can be declared as "not needed" / "obsolete" for that purpose. hackers celebrate this day: openssh drops security! was: Re: heads up: tcpwrappers support going away
...the KGB. Hackers will celebrate this day - openssh drops security. Time to move on to ssh.com's ssh variant. Seriously - the discussion is stupid: If tcpwrappers support gets removed than a replacement is required which is executed at the same location and not much later in the code. RT/Linux SCHED_RR/_FIXED to combat latency?
...Would RT/Linux SCHED_FIXED or SCHED_RR be of help in such a case, e.g. put all ssh processes into the SCHED_FIXED scheduling class, with a priority higher than the non-interactive compute processes? Also, do I interpret it correctly that each forwarded TCP connection has its own process?! Samba + Active Directory
Hi, I?m having much trouble on configuring Samba to work on an Active Directory environment. Using getent password I?m able to see AD?s users. wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g also work fine. When someone from a Windows try to access my Samba server, the smd password window is shown (I think that the autehntication would be transparent, wouldn't it ?), any password I provide is rejected: I tried AD

Apache or lighttp for Ror/2003server?
160,000 pages 99% static, only minor stuff done in rail (search, contact us, etc.) windows server 2003 Ror 1.0 Currently 30K Hits /day on IIS. Apache or Lighttp? Fast_CGI seems kinda slow with a 2003/Apache configuration. The only thing I''ll get rid of for sure is IIS. -Cedric -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Evaluating a port to RTEMS (embedded OS with single address space and no processes)
Hello, I am searching a SSH server for remote administration of an embedded application running on RTEMS (https://www.rtems.org). This environment has neither virtual memory nor user and kernel space. So this is like an application running in kernel mode only. Would it be possible to run (a very basic version of) OpenSSH in such an environment using e.g. threads instead of forking new
