RE: Bootitng and CDShell...
Hi!
Although it may seem so, this is the wrong place to put your question.
Please contact the CDShell developer.

RE: Bootitng and CDShell...
Hello,
Can anyone help me?
Does any of you manage to load (boot) Bootitng through CDShell?
How can I ensure that diskemu emulates a 1.44MB floppy?
Any ideas?
Thank you

syslinux/isolinux capabilities
I'm wondering if it's possible to use isolinux on a bootable CDR to boot an
ISO9660 disk image off of the CDR's filesystem. I'm trying to make a multi-boot
CD which is capable of booting both floppy images and smaller ISO9660 images
(such as the debian netinst or DSL - damnsmall linux), and I am wondering if
isolinux is capable of doing this (or something similar to this -

Hello
...oftwares that made it as UBCD 4.x. This way, I would be able to use
UBCD as a model to build customized ITS apps to be used for campus
tech work.
Is there some kind of step-by-step or user guide that explains how to
build everything from scratch and what softwares are needed to make
this possible? CDShell and MemDisk, that's it? where would I find
these? Do I have to do it all from within Linux environment? Can it be
done in Windows to build a bootable customized UBCD ?
I don't know how to start on Syslinus. Can you give me a tutorials to build
syslinux?
Any assistance or dierction you can...

multiple config files

is there a way for isolinux to have multiple config files for the same
isolinux.bin (in grub it's configfile (cd)/boot/grub/other.lst and in
cdshell it's script file.scn) to have recursive f1-f10 ability and make
the isolinux.cfg less bulky

Need help chainloading from isolinux.
...the simple.c32, and just from the isolinux prompt. I
have tried 3.32-pre6,
3.20, and jumped back and tried 3.08. All configurations fail with
'Cannot read Master Boot Record'.
The boot sectors are known to be good, and are known to work with
chain.c32 with pxelinux. they also work with CDShell, and its bundled
isolinux/chain.
The layout of my Project is very simple for this, in the root I have:
isolinux.bin
isolinux.cfg
memdisk
chain.c32
menu.c32 (renamed from simple.c32)
2krc.dat
bootsect.bin
erd.dat
i386
erd1
(etc..)
My isolinux.cfg:

alternatives to memdisk for use with pxelinux?
...art off topic,
but I have searched extensively with little results.
Are there any alternatives to memdisk for use with pxelinux for booting
troublesome floppy images with such applications that fail to use INT 15h,
AX=E820h.
Having spent some time experimenting with diskemu's diskem1x.bin and
cdshell's implementation of diskemu as a module for use with bootable
cdroms, I have seen memdisk and diskemu work from a common loader as
alternative kernels for booting floppy images (for use with bootable
cd-rom).
Is anybody aware of a diskemu kernel or alternative kernel to memdisk that
might prov...
