CDR changes in Trunk -- Transfers, CDRs, Life, and Everything
I have created an asterisk.org blog entry: http://www.asterisk.org/node/48358 to describe what I will shortly be committing to trunk to correct the weaknesses of CDRs, that asterisk users and developers have been complaining about for quite some time. Highlights: Restructuring the code and philosophy of CDRs. Plans to eliminate the ForkCDR() application Plans to create the CDRstart(), CDRanswer(handle),...

Transferred calls CDRs
Hello! I have been doing some tests with call transfers and I have been looking at the CDRs that Asterisk generates. Scenario 1: A calls B B answers and does a blind transfer to C (using # key) C answers and talks with A Scenario 2: A calls B B answers and does an attended transfer do C (using the phone's transfer key) C answers, B hangs up, and C talks with A For scenario 1, the C...

CDR Desgin
...issed; app_shotgun initiates calls to 100 random numbers and as soon as three or more calls are answered it will start randonly transferring them amongst each other at 2 second intervals. I think it's important to clarify at the outset what a CDR should be. The most fundamental requirement for CDRs is that they accurately record the following pieces of information for EVERY call entering or leaving the system (note every means every and not; "channel" calls but not "peer" calls). 1. Destination (aka as A Number) 2. AccountCode (aka as B Number) 3. Call Start Time (answer...

AsteriskNow install addons despite license conflict with FFA and G.729
Hello, We installed AsteriskNOW (Asterisk version 1.6.2.19) and purchased FFA and G.729 licenses and installed them successfully. When we tried to install asterisk addons (we need the CDRs), we get license conflict error messages. Searching google, we see that there's a way to force install the addons, but that "way" isn't properly detailed, so we didn't manage to do it. Please help. Thanks, Michael -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment...

CDR Information and Pipes
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi guy's I've got an existing application which takes CDR information from a com port from an avaya switch, that we use for billing and accounting. Since the cost up upgrading the Index platform is extortionate, we're looking into alternatives and I've been told to come look at asterisk. First off, asterisk is excellent...

cdr report
Hi. i am running asterisk in a low powered machine (alix2d13 from pcengines) without any gui. the machine works fine to route all my calls for the office. the problem is the management of the CDRs. i can see the master.csv file, but it is not very friendly for the secretary of this office to manage the calls. is there a way to have a nice way to see the CDRs?Since the machine is very small on CPU, it has to be as low on CPU/RAM consumption as possible. any ideas? Sincerely yours, Aris

CDR Problem - No CDRs when call is not bridged
Hi! I just found out that Asterisk (1.4) does not write CDRs if the incoming call was not forwarded but handled internally without answering the call. E.g.: [from_pstn] exten => 997,1,Answer() exten => 997,2,Playback(tt-weasels) exten => 997,3,Hangup() exten => 999,1,Playback(tt-weasels|noanswer) exten => 999,4,Hangup() For incoming call...

Issue with Asterisk 13, multiple CDR per queue and arbitrary upper limit
Hi, I`ve recently upgraded a server from 1.8 to Asterisk 13. While everything is under control, I have one issue with the way CDRs are kept for queues. And I don`t mean ?I don`t like it?. I mean it crashes the server. I realize there are multiple CDRs per queue call ? one per ring/per phone, basically. The issue is that whenever the number of CDRs ?to be recorded? for a call exceeds 5000, Asterisk becomes unresponsive for...

CDRs and billing
Hello I configured Asterisk to put CDRs in the database like it was explained in: www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+cdr+pgsql What I want to know is how do the billing solutions (like Asterisk2Billing) work with Asterisk. The billing system just use the information that Asterisk puts in the CDR table? Or they connect directly to...
