That should do it.. You won't get encoding status, but it work...

FLAC CD Archive
...flac-ed a good many CDs, is it enough to go
back and run a batch file like this on each CD:
cd-discid /dev/hdc > discid.txt
cdrdao read-toc --device /dev/hdc toc.txt
and save those txt files with the flac albums. Would that be enough
to be able to re-generate the CD again later with the same cddbid
etc.? i.e. would that extract all info I might conceivably require
again later?
Thanks!
Peter.

The cddbid relies only on information contained in the CD table of
contents, so as long as you're ripping a cue file (or similar) you
should be able to create a CD with an identical id.
To make sure you...

The Oft Maligned comment field, initial thoughts.
Hey all.
Ok, so I'll stand up and be counted a newbie in this list too (just did the
same for the General discussion list). I (once again) read through the
archives, especially the ones concerning the comment field.
First, I'm not a developer, per se. I'm merely an anal-retentive power
user of such things, who likes to have my music archived, and sorted.

I see that this was the right place to fire off this question. Thanks
for your feedback. It has given me a base to start some trials. I used
to use EAC on Windows, but I tend to only use open source software as
much as possible and I don't use Windows any more. I gave a brief look
at abcde, but it is clear I need to look at this some more. It looks
like it has the potential to do everything I

International Standard Recording Code
Hi!
First, here's some background information: Some friends and I are making
music with our computers for some years now. We release our tracks on
the Internet for free for private use, both in the original module
format and currently MP3. Within the next weeks or months (depending on
the leisure time i get), our web site www.kolabore.de will be vorbisised
for reasons I won't have to
