missing driver for CDAUDIO?
Hi,
I try to install LBA2 (Little Big Adventure 2) with wine.
The installation process works well but the game itself ask me
to insert the LBA2 cdrom but do not recognize it.
I have to following error several times:
> fixme:mci:MCI_LoadMciDriver Couldn't load driver for type CDAUDIO.
> If you don't have a windows installation accessible from Wine,
> you perhaps forgot to create a [mci] section in system.ini
Where can I find this system.ini? Is it the 'config' in my .wine
directory? If yes, what should be the content of this [mci] section?

crash of xen-system when accessing cdrom
...ails I guess ;-)
My first big problem now is that I can''t read any data from cdroms. I can
read the TOC of audio- and data-cdroms. Navigating through the filesystem
(after mounting them, of course) or the tracklist is possible. But as soon
as I try to copy data or play a track within a cdaudio-application, the
system immediately reboots.
Am I using some strange combination of programs? Where could I look for
further informations? If would be very nice, if anybody would already even
know some sort of solution and would tell it to me :-)

oggenc command not found
Dear Vorbis List,
I have just joined this List. Thankyou to all the developers who have
worked on this project it is wonderful.
I am running SuSE 7.3 and the cdaudio ogg ripping works very well. I am
now in the process of archiving my vinyl in ogg files. According to the
SuSE manual this is done using the oggenc command but I get no such
command to work. I have also tried ./oggenc.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Powerpoint 2007 unable to insert video
...470842.html has maybe a similar problem (year-old thread on ubuntuforums).
Original error message is:-
Code:
fixme:mci:MCI_LoadMciDriver Couldn't load driver for type L"MPEGVIDEO".
My system.ini shows:-
Code:
[mci]
MPEGVideo=mciqtz.drv
MPEGVideo2=mciqtz.drv
avivideo=mciavi32.dll
cdaudio=mcicda.dll
sequencer=mciseq.dll
vcr=mcivisca.drv
; videodisc=mcipionr.drv
waveaudio=mciwave.dll
Based on some random threads I read, I tried copying mciqtz32.dll and mciavi32.dll from my Vista install (don't have a XP install handy ATM). I then changed system.ini to this:-
Code:
[mci]

Another Half Life error
...get this message...
"Could not open MCI file for playback: 266: There is an undetectable
problem in loading the specified device driver"
This error repeats twice and I select OK each time and then the game
plays fine. I do have an [mci] section in system.ini and there is an
entry for cdaudio (and others) and the game sounds are OK but no CD
audio. Is this fixable?
Thanks,

Issues running Dungeon Keeper 2
Hey all,
I've downloaded and installed Wine v.1.3.13 and using that, installed Dungeon Keeper 2 from the iso (including patches and a crack) on my mac (OS X Lion).
However, when I start the game, the graphics are, what I can only describe as, "screwy".
The log for this exe is provided
