smbfs mount issues
This problem began a couple months ago with my new install of (you
guessed it) XP sp2. Now, when i mount a share from the xp machine to
my debian box, everyone, including rot, gets a permission denied
trying to ls the dir.
I've read posts about switching to cifs, but that has opened a whole
new can of worms. I'd just like to see smbfs mount my shares properly
the way they used to.

mounting win2003 server shares fails
I emailed about this before but didn't get any response. I am desperate.
I can mount the share of any computer in the domain. XP (even with sp2), 2000, etc... everything works no problem.
When I try to mount a share on a win2003 server, the command completes successfully, but when I try to view the folder, it is not showing.
I have tried several variations of commands:
mount -t smbfs -o

I am having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution to this yet?
At home on my workgroup style network, this works fine. At work on my
domain style network, I can connect to most of the computers and servers
except a few.
When I mount the windows share, the folder I mounted to disappears from
Konqueror view. In a terminal window, the folder is not visible either.
