Classicupgrade succeded with Sernet-samba-4.2.1 AD, but Kinit not wokring
Thanks Luis I have changed ccdc.lan to CCDC.LAN (NOTE: I cannot change the LAN suffix, this is an old domain that needs to be imported into the samba 4.2.x version, it's a production domain and cannot be changed, furthermore it's on an isolated network. P.S. I have used the same name / procedure with the official samba 4...

After the classicupgrade from samba3 to sernet-samba-4.2.1 , users are not able to remote desktop anymore
...ow, I have added a windows 2008 machine to the domain and I'm using the AD snap in tools in order to browse the domain. I can see all the users and groups and they have been imported correctly. However I am able to remote desktop to the domain machines only with the user "Administrator at ccdc.lan"; no other user is able to RDP. Furthermore I am able to add machines to the domain only form the users Administrator, and not from any other user. I have been using the Group Policy Manager from the window administrative tool in order to grant logon rights to all the users belonging to t...

...son, the most important being that samba3 is EOL and "squeeze" will be EOL soon (beginning of 2016). Please note that the file server has been implemented long time ago, unfortunatelly not from me. So I notice that few parameter were not implemented in the smb.conf (e.g #idmap config CCDC : backend = ad #idmap config CCDC : range = 10000-20000 etcc. ) now I have a file share test enviroment based on ubuntu 14 and samba4 . I have noticed that the groups and the users have completely different group and user ids. For example the group domainusers has gid 10003 on the old s...
