Editing the variables attributes section in the netCDF header of netCDF files created using the package ncdf.
Hi, I am using the package ncdf to create netCDF files and I want to mimic the the header of an exiting netCDF file created outside of R. Below is what the existing header looks like (part of it that is different): netcdf ccd1984_05_08 { dimensions: lat = 1974 ; lon = 1894 ; time = UNLIMITED ; // (1 currently) variables: int time(time) ; time:long_name = "time" ; time:units = "days since 1984-05-01 0:0:0" ; time:day_begin...

OT Vonage V-Phone Adapter (Possible Hack)
...Looking at the pic, it looks like the dongle is both a soundcard and memory stick. Heck, I would be glad to have it if I could get the soundcard to work. Might as well since it is free after rebate. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Accessories-for-Vonage-V-Phone-VPHONE/sem /rpsm/oid/162059/rpem/ccd/productDetailAccessory.do#tabs Thanks, Steve Totaro http://www.asteriskhelpdesk.com KB3OPB

useDynLib in older versions e.g. (2.10)
Hi, Has something changed regarding the useDynLib in the NAMESPACE file in packages? I've written a package that works in e.g. 2.12/2.13 but simply cannot find the dynamic library under windows. The version on CRAN is older than the one I'm talking about and depends on a newer version of R but I want to make the package available to people with older versions. >

Re: Add support for slackware in supermin
...t the moment and will give a more complete reply when I get back. In brief you need to be able to do a few simple package database meta operations such as listing all files in a package and listing the installed deps of a named pkg. This pre- supposes that slackware has such a packaging db. Pino CCd can give more details, and you can look at existing pkg systems in src/*.ml. Please forgive my possible naive question, but I do not understand how "accessing a volatile object through a non-volatile pointer is UB" is enough to justify this optimization...

[LLVMdev] MCJIT and Lazy Compilation
...you > seem like you would be the person to know) I used to hack on MCJIT in the past while being at Intel. Since I moved to a different job I've been focusing on other parts of LLVM and haven't been really in touch with the MCJIT parts for a long time. Andy Kaylor (the MCJIT code owner, CCd) is a better candidate to give a meaningful answer to the OP, at least from his perspective. Eli

DOE support in R and fac.design
...osite design and to do this by appending to a factorial design, it would be easiest if the levels of the factorial were at -1 and 1... (so I can add levels such as 0, -2 and 2) This brings me to my second question - is there any support for design creation of some of the common designs like the CCD? And finally - in the help for conf.design, in the "See Also" section, there's a fac.design mentioned but I can't seem to find it anywhere.. is this function available and what does it do? I would appreciate it if you could please cc me on the reply. Thanks, nirmal

libxl: setmaxmem functionality?
Hi, the function libxl_domain_setmaxmem in libxl.c doesn''t seem to do anything besides argument checking, or am I overlooking something? Cheers, Markus _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

lomount: handy for file-backed VBDs
Hey all, This utility (from Qemu) might be useful to anyone who has multiple partitions on a file-backed VBD and wants occasionally to mount them in dom0. http://www.dad-answers.com/qemu/utilities/QEMU-HD-Mounter/lomount/ You can tell it what partition to mount out of the file and it sorts out the offsets, etc. by parsing the partition table. This allows you to get around the loop

[LLVMdev] AESOP autoparallelizing compiler
Hi Sebastian, Sure! The bulk of LMDA was written by Aparna Kotha (CCd). It computes dependences between all instructions, computes the resulting direction vectors in the function, then associates them all with loops. At a high level, the dependence analysis consults with AliasAnalysis, and ScalarEvolution before resorting to attempting to understand the effective af...
