Or am I better off switching completely to a 32-bit installation (which I'm also considering for other reasons.) Other possible problem causers are that I'm using the Planet CCRMA kernel, and I have 3 sound cards, but I figure these should only cause problems between alsa and hardware (and they have, and I've fixed/workedaround them), not between wine and alsa. Hi, We have implemented a new AIX 5.3, P55A using Samba...we have about 70 users online most of the day. We assign a particular Samba share to everyone when they login so it shows up in their Windows Explorer. Is it standard that we see so many "smbd" processes running when I do a "ps -ef"? Marc- Thanks for the advice. In regards to the FSMO roles, when we were originally testing, we found that in our version, FSMO roles could not be transferred (or even seized). Would you recommend adding the new versioned DC to the existing domain and attempting a seize on the new version once the old FSMO owner is offline? What about stopping samba on the old FSMO owner and copying the TDB
