GML with tweedie: AIC=NA
Dear Catarina, I prefer to leave the AIC value as NA for the tweedie GLM family because it takes extra time to compute and is only occasionally wanted. It's easy to compute the AIC yourself using the dtweedie() function of the tweedie package. Best wishes Gordon At 03:05 AM 14/08/2007, Catarina Miranda...

Models with ordered and unordered factors
...a set I use a predictor variable referring to 3 consecutive days of an experiment. It is a factor, and I thought it would be more correct to consider it ordered. Below is my example code with my comments/ideas along it. Can someone help me to understand what is happening? Extract p value from coxme object
...xtract the p values from a coxme object (package coxme). I can see the value in the model output, but I wanted to have the result with a higher number of decimal places. I have searched the mailing list and followed equivalent suggestions for nlme/lme objects, but I wasn't successful. Thanks; Catarina [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Need ideas on how to show spikes in my data and how to code it in R
Hi I have recently been analyzing birthweight data from a clinic. The data has obvious defects in that there is digit preference on certain weights making them overrepresented. This shows as spikes in the histogram on certain well rounded weights like 2, 2.5, 3, etc. I would like to show this to government officials but can't figure out how I should present the finding in an easy to
