icecast1 type stats logs in icecast2 ?
Here is a php script that parses out the stats.xml file from the admin of
the icecast2 server.
It currently only parses the page out to variables and still needs a bit of
work.
anyways here is the php source files

icecast1 type stats logs in icecast2 ?
Hey All.
I have recently upgraded my streaming radio station to icecast2 type
streaming. I, however miss the stats logs in icecast 1. These logs
would list the number of listeners, and more importantly their ip
addresses. I parsed this onto a nice looking web page, so local users
in my LAN could know who was listening to the radio station.
I guess icecast2 has some built in web serving

Re [ogg]
Hi:
If you're just wanting to serve static files then the fileserve function of
icecast will probably serve you better. But yes, you would have to make a
thousand files. Probably better to write some kind of script to push a
.m3u or .pls file generated from the filename passed as a parameter. At
least then you wouldn't have lots of tiny m3u files all over the place.
Geoff.

Yeah i agree. they are useless in way, but in terms of managing 100's of
config files in a hosting environment,
it can get to be a major pain.
Eventualy ill commit my icecast admin #!/bin/bash source to
cvs.casterclub.com for everyone else to use,
just needs some final touches.

I hope so :)
I'm not too good with C or anything like that, so the sourcecode would
probably be a bit confusing.

OT: compiling oddcast DSP
...discontinuing it...the fact that you are getting assertion errors makes me
think that you are trying to use the wa3 sdk (wa2 sdk didn't do
assertions), in which case I'd recommend NOT using wa3. Also, I'd recommend
that you make sure your using the most current CVS here
http://cvs.casterclub.com/horde/chora/cvs.php?rt=CVS.ODDSOCK.ORG . You'll
want the oddcastv2_wa2_xmms module.
