Shorewall + IPSec: help debugging why gw1<->gw2 SA works, but loc<->gw2 traffic doesn't trigger SA
Dear list,
I''m running Shorewall on a dedicated Fedora 7 box. Shorewall is working
well as an office DSL router (dynamic IP) with loc and dmz zones. I am now
trying to configure IPSec to connect a VPS, "casp", with a static IP to both
the firewall and to the loc network behind it. The host to host SA works
fine. However, pings from "loc" to "casp" can be seen coming in the loc
zone''s interface (tcpdump), but from there seem to just disappear: no log

Strange connection to the outside...
Hi all,
for some strange reason, our still-under-test Asterisk deployment wants
to contact the outside world and that raised some eyebrows here...
Just a sample of our firewall log:

Hi, Everyone...
I love WINE but am getting a bit light headed...
While attempting to install SW: EAW and Supreme Commander (Gold) both installs stop to request a second disk (though SC is a single DVD) and both ask for the same "data3.cab" file.
SW:EAW is a CD and requests that the second disk be inserted. I get that. What I don't understand is the path to the disk. WINE
