Rsyncing Samba4 Roaming Profiles between servers
...r at one site to another server (I've also tried it between two servers on the same site) but the permissions seem to get corrupted... If I look at the permissions in a Linux terminal I get the following... Output from ls -lh on Server 1: drwxrwx---+ 14 3000060 users 4.0K Apr 17 16:15 charles.carmichael.V2 Output from ls -lh on Server 2: drwxrwx---+ 14 3000060 users 4.0K Apr 17 16:15 charles.carmichael.V2 So the permissions look okay to me unless I'm missing something. If I check the permissions of the two profile folders in Windows 7 I get the following: Server 1 Permissions: SYSTEM - Fu...

Modulus Problem
R users, I am having a problem with the modulus operator for large numbers as follows, a <- 2 n <- 561 ## n is the first Carmichael number, so by Fermat's Little Theorem the below should equal zero. (a^(n-1) - 1) %% n [1] 2.193172e+152 ## Seems that R and Fermat disagree ## Also, 1000000000000000000 %% 11 [1] -32 This seems like a bug. Should I be avoiding integer math for large numbers? Thanks, Robert platform i686-pc...

[LLVMdev] 'loop invariant code motion' and 'Reassociate Expression'
...an't tell, quickly, what's going on in Reassociate; > > Reasscociate is using a reverse postorder numbering, my guess is that the idea is from Briggs, Cooper ’94. I believe some of the ideas are from Briggs & Cooper, but there's other stuff in there I've never seen, e.g., Carmichael Numbers. I mean, we can all google Carmichael Numbers, but I had never heard of them in relation to this problem. File Creation Dates Question

[LLVMdev] 'loop invariant code motion' and 'Reassociate Expression'
It's an interesting problem. The best stuff I've seen published is by Cooper, Eckhart, & Kennedy, in PACT '08. Cooper gives a nice intro in one of his lectures: http://www.cs.rice.edu/~keith/512/2012/Lectures/26ReassocII-1up.pdf I can't tell, quickly, what's going on in Reassociate; as usual, the documentation resolutely avoids giving any credit for the ideas. Why is that?
