...m, when I came back to my own computer, MacOs X 10.4, i suddenly can't use any samba-shares. It even freeze finder when trying to connect. As far as I can se there is not mention of any problem is log.smbd or log.winbindd. Any ideas of what would cause this problem? Thanks in advance Roland Carlsson

...there are no related messages in the Eventlog. Right now I have added a cronjob that runs getent passwd once every minute but that doesn't seems like the ideal solution. Hi Ross! All our windows-clients works well with Samba 3.0.14a (WinXP and TS 2003 sp1). Perhaps the changes made for ADS SP1 somehow can affect ADS 2003 (without sp1) in the same way that ADS 2003 sp1 did for our Samba 3.0.9. But that is only a wild guess. Hello, I?m currently running a script that takes several days to complete, and have therefore chosen to start two instances of R, each doing half the work (since I have a two-processor machine). The problem is that this renders my computer worthless to do other work on. So - is it possible to pause one of the running R instances to do other things for a while, and then starting it again

But I don't know if it produces as good quality with speech codecs as it does for music codecs.
