Format Data Issue??
R Users,
I am new to R and have tried to figure out how to automate this
process instead of using excel. I have read in this dataframe into r
with read.table. I need to reshape the data from the first table into
the format of the second table.

Repeated measures by lme and aov give different results
I am analyzing data from an experiment with two factors: Carbon (+/-)
and O3 (+/-), with 4 replicates of each treatment, and 4 harvests over a
year. The treatments are assigned in a block design to individual
Rings.
I have approaches this as a repeated measures design. Fixed factors
are Carbon, O3 and Harvest, with Ring assigned as a random variable. I

installing carbon / passing PYTHONPATH to pip package provider?
My environment: Ubuntu LTS 12.04, carbon
(https://github.com/graphite-project/carbon) 0.9.9 installed using "pip".
I just learned why when I run "pip freeze" on a system I don''t see the
"carbon" package even when it installed successfully - I should run it with
"PYTHONPATH=/opt/graphite/lib/ pip freeze".

library() with v. 1.5.0 for Mac OS X Carbon
I am having trouble with the library function of R Version 1.5.0 for Mac
OS X Carbon when I try to load libraries that did not come with the R
installation. For example, I put the Biobase library from
bioconductor.org in the 'library' folder. R cannot find it, even though
it can find the pre-installed libraries:
> library() # this lists standard libraries such as 'boot',

I am using sendmailR package to send mails from R. I am not able to make

then they all receive individual emails and not carbon copies
My sample code is

Survival Analysis Daily Time-Varying Covariate but Event Time Unknown
Help!
I am unsure if I can analyze data from the following experiment.
Fish were placed in a tank at (t=0)
Measurements of Carbon Dioxide were taken each day for 120 days (t=0,...120)
A few fish were then randomly pulled out of the tank at different days,
killed and examined for the presence of a disease
T= time of examination in days from start (i.e. 85th day), E = 0/1 for

R worked once, now will not open. Works in console, but won't graph. (PR#7953)

Submission from: (NULL) (67.176.250.164)
I erased R 2.0.1 (the R.app and the framework) and installed R 2.1.0a. I ran it
once, then shut down without saving the workspace. Now it doesn't start at all.
I've erased it a couple of times and re-installed (not installing the libraries
I use, coda, MCMCpack, MASS and bayesm) but the same

Problem: R crashes when 'Command-f' is pressed to begin "Find"
Frequency: This problem is intermittant. Once R crashes, the only solution is
to restart R and try to Find again. There is no regularity to the problem. If
R is opened by double-clicking on a ".R" file,

segmentation fault with Hmisc areg.boot(): Now acepack avas failure
Hi Folks,
Mac OS 10.4.4
R 2.2.1(2005-12-20 r36812)
Hmisc 3.0-10
acepack 1.3-2.2
I had R crashes while running areg.boot in Hmisc (see old message
below), but now I realize that the problem appears to be in the avas
function in acepack. I tried running running the avas example (in
acepack package), and got an immediate crash.
Any thoughts? The Apple crash report (from R GUI crash) follows.

Carbon R 1.5.1 + Bioconductor released
I have built and uploaded to CRAN the Carbon version of R for
MacOS/MacOSX.
You'll find the base set (rm151.sit) and the recommended packages
(recommended.sit) separately or all in one single file (rm151_FULL.sit)
on CRAN and their mirrors soon.
I have also built the Bioconductor suite of packages (corresponding to
the Bioconductor_1.0.tgz file) as it seems to be one of the most

Mac carbon - foreign - read.spss
Hello,
Can someone confirm that "read.spss" doesn't work with
usual (old) mac paths ("disk:dir:dir:file"), but only with
*nix path (Volumes/disk/...)?
rm171 (carbon) - MacOSX 10.2.6
Thanks.

R 1.2.3 for MacOS/X available
From release 1.2.3, R can run different Macintosh platforms.
Two versions are currently available that are non concurrent.
One version runs on MacOS Systems from 8.6 to 9.1 and MacOSX using the
standard MacOS/MacOSX interface, that means that is behaves like any
usual Macintosh application. (This is mantained by Stefano M. Iacus)
The other version is a Darwin/X11 that means a Unix-like
