not force-user'ing while printing?
Hi all,...
...currently I am trying to get the following setup up and working
here:
* capisuite (www.capisuite.de) works as an isdn/capi-based fax
solution for the LAN.
* cups is used as printer spooler, there is some "glue" package to
access capisuite through cups, thus generating a "print-to-fax"
solution.
* since the clients in the LAN still are all Windows NT...

German ISDN&DSL Card "AVM Fritz!Card DSL"
...d success in compiling the modules from
http://www.avm.de/de/Download/index.php3 and they load fine with
"modprobe fcdsl". But with the Xen dom0 Kernel they seem to make just a
dummy job because CAPI Applications don''t work. A "non-Xen" 2.4 or 2.6
Kernel works fine with Capisuite (http://www.capisuite.de/).

CAPI problems when loading chan_capi.so

The messege "CAPI not installed" is weird because CAPI *is* installed:

capisuite-0.4.3-52
capi4linux-2003.9.17-7

In this sense: do I need any other special package?

Can I receive faxes with Fritz card & Asterisk ?
Hi,
I'm reading that spandsp works only with zaptel channels. What are my
options if I want to receive faxes through ISDN Fritz card with Asterisk and
possibly forward it as emails ?
Regards,
Rob.

Problem with ability to dial out when a channel is used from an external equipment in a point to multi point configuration
I have grouped two capi controllers using * as the outgoing msn.
when the first two channels are busy normally and I try to use a third channel the channels from the second controller are used.
But when a channel is occupied by the capisuite fax and we need a third channel asterisk responds with "every one is busy congested at this time".
I think the same behavious would have happened if an external equipment was using the isdn channel in a point to multi point configuration.
The same behavious happens when I unplug the cab...

Eicon Diva Server - Fax and data modem support
Would any one advice how implement Diva Server BRI or PRI card to
support fax and data modem? In Eicon's website, it says that they
support these. But there is no FXS port on the card, how it can be
connected to Fax machine or data Modem?
Thanks in advance.

Where are chan_capi bug reports and bugfixes sent?
Hello all
I found a bug in the chan_capi driver (really a not implemented message
handling and then a false error condition) and I guess I have wrote a
patch to fix it (basically I searched the internet for other capi open
source implementation an borrowed the code snippet) but I don't know
where to send the report and bugfix.
I also found some miss-behaviours that I would like to share

Choppy sound with chan_capi + Fritz Card USB
...my own. Has anybody any idea
for the following:
I am using the asterisk-version from Debian-Testing (1.2.13) with the
latest chan_capi (also tried an older version).
When using the Capi-Channel, everything works fine except from the sound
it sounds extremely choppy and is unusable :-(
When e.g. capisuite is used for fax, everything sounds fine...
I found the following when using capi debug:
ISDN1#02: too much voice to send for NCCI=0x10101
Google finds nothing relevant for this error message :-(
Has anybody any idea ?
Christoph

I use SuSE 9.0 Pro.
I don't see any capi.conf - the only similar thing is
/etc/capisuite/capisuite.conf but I don't know if we're talking about
the same file...
The module is loaded at system boot:
