CPU-Capabilties for Nested Virtualization
Hi, I have some questions about the CPU-Capabilities for Virtualization especially for Nested Virtualization like the Turtles Project. I am trying to create a Nested Environment by following the instruction of: http://kashyapc.wordpress.com/2012/01/18/nested-virtualization-with-kvm-and-amd/ The bare-metal system is a Dell Server with following CPU-Flags (virsh capabilities) <cpu>

Ssh access over a zap channel...
My need to do this through asterisk is simply the ability to provide me access with no additional cost to my customer. It seems like a nice thing to include as long as authentication is done well. I have worked on a dozen or more types of switches and all of them have supported this or had the capabilty through hardware or licensing. I am trying to get around opening and closing the firewall,

Using posix file capabilties you can give wine only root permissions for creating raw sockets. A lot of distributions are doing something similar these days for ping which also required complete root permissions before.

Using R with Hadoop/Hive for Big Data
...allows traditional map/reduce programmers to be able to plug in their custom mappers and reducers to do more sophisticated analysis which may not be supported by the built in capabilities of the language. Is there any package currently out or in development that is looking into using R like matrix capabilties with HIVE like big data abilties on a remote/ parallel HPC. 3-axis Barplots (plus qplot like staked histogram capability)
Searched my R reference docs*, and the Rseek, but evidently I've overlooked this capabilty.    Is it possible to produce a 3d Barplot using R?   For example would like to have a three axis bar plot - \ x-axis = location(discrete), y-axis = data value, z-axis = frequency of value occurance (of location and value)   Would also if could also do something like what "qplot" allows,

dmapi doesn't work on aix; possible fix included
...hings continue on. The rest of the problem in dmapi_file_flags() is that things are running with the effective uid of the user, so dmapi calls are failing. The posix capability DMAPI_ACCESS_CAPABILITY is supposed to allow the functions to work, but to my knowledge AIX doesn't have posix capabilties. I used become_root/unbecome_root around the dmapi calls, and this appeared to get things to work. Samba's log messages are indicating that files are offline, and Windows Explorer is picking up on this and changing the file icons to indicate that the files are offline. However, I don'...

[PATCH 0/5] Add MSI support to XEN
Hi, Keir, These patches are rebased version of Yunhong''s original patches, which were sent out before XEN 3.2 was released. These patches enable MSI support and limited MSI-X support in XEN. Here is the original description of the patches from Yunhong''s mail. The basic idea including: 1) Keep vector global resource owned by xen, while split pirq into per-domain

The deprecation of the old net-tools suite continues with bridge-utils no longer required in many circumstances as iproute2 gets improved bridge capabilties... this brings EL7 inline with the Fedora behaviour: https://fedoramagazine.org/build-network-bridge-fedora/ On the network side of things be aware of a potentially breaking change to systems in how device names are created, this will only affect systems that have exceptionally long device names:...

Time Series Objects/ MC Simulation
I am attempting to value convertible bonds through a Monte Carlo approach. I want to express call schedules as date-price tuples. Naturally, these tuples need to be expanded to match the frequency of the innovations in the MC process. 1. Is there a straigh-forward way to accomplish this "expansion"? 2. I have noted the existance of ts, its, zoo and fCalendar. Does anyone have an

How to log missing RTP packets ?
Hello, When a call is starting, Asterisk starts sending and receiving RTP packets. Each packet has a sequence number. 1. Instead of logging everything as rtp set debug is currently doing, is there a way to only log: - the sequence number of the first received packet, - any missing or misplaced sequence number. 2. Is there a way to log RTP debug information in a specific file or send the same

Are there any guis out there, which will allow editing of the graph?
Hi, all, I would like to know if there is any gui interface out there (academic or commercial) that allows one to edit R-language generated graphs (e.g positioning x axis labels.) It would be nice to have something like the user interface of Igor or Origin. I have already used JGR and R-gui. These are good, but they don't allow one to easily edit graphs. I have also tried
