Feature request: FQDN Host match
Hello! I'm hoping that Gmail won't HTML format this mail so that I'll get flamed :) Anyway, my question relates to ssh_config. The problem I find is that the Host pattern is only applied to the argument given on the command line, as outlined in the man page: "The host is the hostname argument given on the command line (i.e. the name is not converted to a canonicalized host name

[Bug 2310] New: functionality to start process before ssh and/or to "wrap" such command around ssh
...at is run "before". Now of course starting a command before ssh, can be done via shell script wrapping and that like. The disadvantage here is however, that I cannot easily start commands on a per host basis, unless I write my own parser for SSH config files, which also takes things like CanonicaliseHostnames into account. Typical example for starting something *before* ssh would be, e.g. kinit, that requests a kerberos ticket, or perhaps (for certain special hosts) brining up some ppp network route or whatever.
