[Bug 2267] New: Host matching uses modified hostname as well as original
...6.6p1 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 Component: ssh Assignee: unassigned-bugs at mindrot.org Reporter: openssh at richard.birkett.com Since some of the recent changes to hostname canonicalisation, use of the HostName config option is now triggering a re-read of the configuration, trying to find Host sections that match the *new* hostname. Arguably this behaviour might be useful, but it's a significant functional change. There is also a documentation bug here: the description of Host s...

visitShiftByConstant of DAGCombiner
Hi, I recently worked on doing constant canonicalisation in DAGCombine level to make as more folding as possible. And I found the behavior of "visitShiftByConstant" is same with what I have done, just only it only be enabled under a shift context. But I think maybe we could expand it to as more case as possible. The original issuse of it: F...

[PATCH] Canonicalise BTRFS: and Btrfs: to btrfs:
Currently there are 3 different capitalisations of btrfs: used in printk()''s, BTRFS: (3 occurences), Btrfs: (1 occurence) and btrfs: (77 occurences). It''s best to have them all the same for consistency, so we canonicalise the two minority cases to btrfs:. Thanks very much, Renato! I looked into the regressions, there're many cases have similar context as the case I mentioned but N just has only one use. In this case, the canonicalisation won't make it more profitable, will only prevent the possible folding or make the sequence is not expected. The regressions be eliminated, after I limit the expanding to not "N->hasOneUse()". And now only one regression left: FAIL: LLVM :: CodeGen/Thumb2/machine-licm.ll (18865 o...

Feature request: FQDN Host match
Hello! I'm hoping that Gmail won't HTML format this mail so that I'll get flamed :) Anyway, my question relates to ssh_config. The problem I find is that the Host pattern is only applied to the argument given on the command line, as outlined in the man page: "The host is the hostname argument given on the command line (i.e. the name is not converted to a canonicalized host name

Disabling host key checking on LAN
...hostname argument given on the command line (i.e. the > name is not converted to a canonicalized host name before matching)." Yeah, it's unfortunately quite difficult to implement address matching in ~/.ssh/config because of the interplay of Host matching, Hostname directives, hostname canonicalisation*, proxy commands, hosts having multiple addresses, IPv4/IPv6 and when the addresses are actually resolved and available to the parser. I've not figured out a clean way to do it that isn't also complex and probably fragile to implement. -d * that was my contribution to the problem :/

GSSAPI vs load-balanced servers - anything we can do?
Dear all, (apologoies - this has nothing to do with 4.7 being out, but is rather a long-standing issue that regularly bites us). Is there anything I could do to further the case of https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1008 As a summary, GSSAPI auth against machine in a DNS load-balanced server farm fails. SSH-1 Kerberos works. DNS load-balanced farm: Individual machines in the farm

ProxyCommand brokent in recent snapshots
Hello, While testing recent snapshots (20131023 and 20131024) I encountered a problem with ProxyCommand. The regression tests all passed, but the use of ProxyCommand's in my ~/.ssh/config resulted in name resolution errors; even if CanonicalizeHostname was explicitly set to "no." The patch included inline below fixed the issue: Index: ssh.c

[LLVMdev] RFC: GEP as canonical form for pointer addressing
...that contains a GEP with the loop induction variable into a GEP with the increment inside the loop. This has two annoying properties for code generation: - The GEP with the induction variable as the offset maps cleanly to CPU addressing modes and so we generate better code if we don't do this canonicalisation, and therefore end up trying to undo it in the back end (yuck). - If the source is the start of an object, then this behaviour is GC-hostile because it means that IR that contains a pointer to an object start now only contains a pointer to the middle, requiring the GC to deal with inner pointers....
