Any interest in a Canadian Asterisk mailing list?
Just on the off chance that Canadian Asterisk users might be interested in a place to discuss topics specific to the "great white north" (sources, services, telcos, etc.), I created the asterisk-canada mailing list: http://lists.syonex.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-canada or asterisk-canada-subscribe@lists.syonex.com Cheers! virsh console and other language keymaps
Hi, I've got a small vm server running kvm + libvirt, and I made a simple shell script that allows users to ssh in and control their vms (power off, etc). However, one of my users uses the french canadian keyboard layout on her home computer, and upon being told "escape character is ^]" expected to need to press ctrl+right-alt_] (] being in the same location it is on a US keyboard).

[CAVPdiscussion] OT: RFC: Canadian Association o f Voice over IP Users (CAVU)
In the latest CAVP conference call, the membership body voted to restrict membership to VoIP LEC's and to create a seperate membership body for any other parties interested in contributing to the CAVP's efforts in CRTC lobbying and providing a unified industry presence in the Canadian telco industry with a view to VoIP services. Accordingly, I would like to propose an adjutant association

Canadian call quality issue
hello, we have been using a couple of US based VoIP providers for outbound calls completed within the US, without any issues. We recently started making calls to Canada and have received a few complaints about the call quality. Questions : - Could this be because of the number of intermediate IP hops between us / our VoIP provider and the Canadian phone companies ? -

Canadian politcal party colours in ggplot2
A stupid question but does anyone know how to express the actual colours used by the main Canadian political parties? I want to do a couple of ggplot2 plots and have lines or rectangles that accurately reflect the party colours. I can probably play around with RColorBrewer or something to figure it out but if some some already has got them it would save me some time especially with the NDP

Question on echo's for Canadian Asterisk users ...
Has anyone has issues with echo using a Wildcard with a PRI from a major Canadian Telco? (Bell, Telus, AllStream, Sprint, Group Telecom). We are using a T1 from GT that is giving use annoying echos whenever a SIP/IAX2 client calls a local analog line. Calling cells phones is no issue since its digital. Regardless, there should be no issue with echo on a PRI at all. NOC at GT is telling us

[LLVMdev] Does someone has experience with Canadian cross build of LLVM compiler?
Hello, Ekaterina. FYI, my configure has '--host=i686-pc-mingw32' w/o any additional variables. and then the build host (ppc fedora 12) has toolchain 'i686-pc-mingw32-*'. It could build everything successfully, but I have not built it for a few months :p 2010/11/30 Ekaterina Sanina <ekaterina.sanina at gmail.com>: > cross-compile-build-tools: >         $(Verb) if [ !

Has anyone gotten CID from Bell Canada to work properly with *? We have our * box down at our datacentre in St Louis, and whenever we call it from a Bell Canada Telephone line, all we see is '' for the CID. I did some digging on google and the mailing lists and couldn't find anything pertaining directly to Bell-Canada and * CID, but didn't find much. I did however find :
