FW: Samba 2.2.8a / Winbind and Domains
...tion. I have added winbind to my
samba configuration on a Solaris 9 server. We've been using samba for
years, but this is the first implementation of Winbind. I am including the
global configuration information below. I join a single domain (den1), but
winbind add the other trusted domains (cal1,production). When I access
shares, I can see with winbind in debug mode that it tries all addresses
provided by our wins server for the domain "cal1" before going to even
the specific domain provided in the username.. Unfortunately it takes
about ten or twelve seconds to get through al...

Differences between glmmPQL and lmer and AIC calculation
...AIC values or comparable measures, I also
tried to calculate the same models using function lmer. Against
expectations, I got completely different results from these two
libraries (glmmPQL = highly significant; lmer = far away from being
significant with p = 0.9xx).
I used the following codes:
cal1=glmmPQL(y ~ activity, random=~1|id, data=data, family=binomial,
na.action=na.omit)
> WORKS FINE
cal1 = lmer(y ? activity + (1 | id ), family = binomial, data=data,
na.action=na.omit)
> PRODUCED misleading and totally different results compared to glmmPQL (e.g. sometimes error message occ...

as.spikeTrain
Hi all,
I have recently used the as.spikeTrain function in the STAR Packages but instead of using the CAL1S data that could be found in the package, I used data from other sources.
I am able to convert the data into the required data frame but when I execute the as.spikeTrain function: datafile <- lapply(list_data,as.spikeTrain)
It will give this error:
Error in FUN(X[[i]], ...) :
