validating passwords
Hey people,
I was wondering how to solve the following problem...
I have a login system which uses MD5 + salts to store my users passwords
in the database. Also I am working with profiles for my users which they
can change.
Everything goes quite okay except when we reach the change_profile bit
of the application. Because the user model has validations it performs
on the password it starts

AGI - Freakin Lost
Ok,
I have spent that past 4 - 5hrs working (trying to) figure some AGI
syntax out in perl. Maybe I'm Looney / slow or what I don't know, but I
am lost. I need to figure out how to send STDIN into the script. I
understand the concept of it, but lost when it comes down to it. No
matter what I try with standard <stdin> The app completes on me before I
can ever enter in keys. I

Samba3 + smbldap-tools & smbpasswd
I've been fiddling lately with Samba 3 coupled with openldap, nss_ldap,
pam_ldap and the smbldap-tools to create a PDC.
Following various examples, most things work, but I have an issue with
changing passwords from Windows.
If I manually change a password with smbldap-passwd, the script
correctly adjusts the sambaPwdMustChange attribute according to what
defaultMaxPasswordAge is set to.
