Hi all, I have some machines running FreeBSD and dovecot deployed. User's home dir is on NFS mount and I've found that dovecot only works with dotlock file locking mechanism, fcntl and flock failed. Now it causes problem with thunderbird (thunderbird is cachine connections) waiting forever and I noticed that dovecot is trying to acquire a lock but unsuccessful since the lock file is in place. Is it possible to use file locking other than dotlock on FreeBSD NFS mounted homedir? How do I achieve this? Thanks a lot. Tony Tsang.

Hi all, I run samba 3.6.6 from debian wheezy (version 3.6.6) and i am experiencing some troubles with file name mangling. If i try "dir /x" on a mapped folder it gives me unexpected mangled names: the name mangling matches only the first character and not the first 5 as i expect. For example: if the long file name is LONGFILENAME.TXT, i expect the mangled sholud be something like

...ld still log into the Windows 2000 machine. Then I tried stopping the LDAP database completely, and while it took the Windows 2000 machine a long time to attempt to authenticate, the user could STILL log into the machine. Does anyone know if Windows 2000 or Samba 3.0 do any user/authentication cachine? Is there any other explanation for this? Rob

Alternatively, what kinfd of non linear time series models are performed in R?
